Anybody had much experience with Cyclosporine

hi, i have just started the treatment in the last 2 weeks, had a few side effects, my doses is 250mg a day so i guess quite high. but it does seem to be working. i have had a few issues, like burning stomach, feeling ill, and stomach churning and gas, but seems to be getting less.

 Hopefully this is the one as aceterin was a horrible experience leading to an ingrown toenail.

Yes I had ingrowing toe nails with aceterin in fact funnily enough I still had problems until I started on Stelara. Cyclosporine was horrendous for me ,I thought that I had died and woke up just shows how different we are. Best of luck with the treatment.

Hi again everyone 

So I've stopped taking the cyclosporine now as advised by my dermatologist, been off it for about 2 weeks and the psoriasis is coming back quite badly.

Im hoping the derm is happy to put me straight on the new treatment as imo it is quite obvious the psoriasis is going to come back as bad as before... i guess we'll see!

Anyway... Just a little update

P.S. Cyclosporine is amazing... I'm sad to see the back of it, been 100% clear now for months. Its also given me hope that other treatments will work whereas before i had no hope whatsoever.

Always good to have bad psoriasis for your dermatology visit, it makes them look further for something different.

Hi Jamie good to see you, it's a shame that you are off cyclosporine but I'm sure the dermatologist has his reasons
Have you been reading up on the alternatives you might be offered ? Let's hope what ever it is it's effective  
I will keep my fingers crossed for you

Ive been on this drug a couple of times, when it came to the end of a round i was weaned off slowly to try and slow the rebound affect.
Fingers crossed it doesnt flare to bad for you.
