To be honest, although mtx worked quickly and very well I never got 100% clear, there was always a couple of small bits left.

MTX has given me a year of acceptable psoriasis relief. I still have it on my butt and it is a little worse now I think due to stress but I have only been on MTX for about a year.

I would say that any medication can stop working at some point.

Not sure where mine is going as I dont want to keep increasing the dosage and I have an anomally on one of my blood tests so that may force a transition to something else.

I would say if you want to look at new treatments speak to your derm, if you are still happy with the results of MTX it is at the ned of the day upto you.

Well, I've just passed four years on DMF with no loss of efficacy and no harm. All I need be wary of is to not take a dose if I have even a hint of a cold.

it is funny that it has only "failed" to a point and no further.
Will look at the alternatives certainly.... frankly if it stays as a 2" plaque on one arm I can put up with it... , and thats pretty much all it has been...
lots of detective work to do. Smile

Indeed yes a lot of searching still to resolve it

Are you using a topical cream as well on the arm?

And one last thing ....you aren't taking folic acid on the methotrexate day are you ?

sorry for the slow reply... i fell off the boat for a while.... in answer to yur questions.... no topicals presently, and no FA on MTX day
Thanks !
