What is DUF ? And what is TT?

I guessed you mean DMF (Dimethylfumarate) if you write DUF. If you have clearance not using DMF, then it is clearly not for you.

Hello Vincent I'm pleased to hear you value the positive comments and support of Psoriasis Club. It's also great that you have complete trust in your dermatologist, I too have a very good relationship with my dermatologist.

I can understand your questioning the "attack" on your dermatologist and you are right to speak up in her defence, but you will find at Psoriasis Club we do tend to speak our minds on how we fell about a treatment and you did ask for "experience good or bad" also some of our members don't use English as their first language so sometimes the way things are worded may be taken the wrong way.

I don't think anyone was making a personal attack on your dermatologist as such, it was more an attack on the treatment you were being offered.

We never mention professionals by name on Psoriasis Club, but sometimes you may see us knocking them in some way. I will always say rheumatologists don't have a clue what they are talking about, but it doesn't mean that I think a particular one is in that category. It's just how I feel and I say it.

Good to see you around again by the way.

Fred.

So many people have a go at MTX which is not warranted as it is a good drug and can work wonders for some people , there is a lot of prejudice against it based on very little apart from what it's used for as well as P and PsA which is ridiculous . ALL drugs have side effects or they would not work unless they did , 99% of drugs are used in many areas apart from the one that the patient is taking it for. Best of luck with the MTX Vincent and I hope that you have success with it.

Okay, I guess this is some kind of expression. As I still do not understand what you mean with it.  Smile

If you have a good Derm, a real Health Pro, you are certainly blessed. And I really understand why you do not want to hear criticism.

But not everyone has had those excellent experiences. Not all health pro's know everything about specific treatments or medications. Experienced patients, who have good contacts with good doctors can gain more knowledge on a specific medication than some doctors.

It is the same with a tailor, there are great tailors who make great suits, but it still may happen that an amateur makes a better and more beautiful dress than that tailor.  Smile it is a question of experience.

It is therefore that a forum like this can come up with experiences and suggestions  on treatments, sometimes unfortunately based on less experiences with a certain doctor-type.

Unfortunately we could all probably give negative comments about the people treating us or have done in the past. I could bore you to tears with negative comments from my past about those treating me, but like you I'm happy today with the person treating me.

I'm guilty of negatives when it comes to methotrexate and to be honest I wouldn't touch it again if you paid me, but don't take it to heart. We are all in the same boat and the support far out ways the negatives that you may get here.

As for being clear in 15 years and going to your box. I hope you don't have a set date for that I may be busy that day.  Big Grin
