Great news that you are beginning to see results

The white cell count is a total of the white cell fractions. You should be able to get a breakdown of neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and basophils. The lymphocytes are particularly sensitive to dmf, and your dermatologist will probably not want to see your count fall below 0.8.

Thanks guys I'll remember that! The doc said my bloods were fine, so although I don't know my number it obviously falls into the right margin.

I just keep a record of mine here for peace of mind and so I can see if there's a trend up or down that needs addressing

I have a quick question. Can you still take supplements while on fumaderm? Id like to take vitamin d but I'm unsure whether I can.

Hi Obi,

Yes, there is no problem in doing that.
My doctor has also prescribed me giga vit-d tablets.

You can als do a quick search on google on this subject, and perhaps you also can wait for more reaction of the DMF gang.

I have never taken vitamin d supplements myself but I can't think of any reason not to take them, all you are doing is supplementing what you would normally absorb from the sun.
That's my opinion

I now supplement with d3. I tried sunbaking to get d3 instead of supplementing a few months ago and I reckon that it caused a lymphopaenia, although it will be a few months before I can be more certain of this. I think that the main worry with high d3 and psoriasis comes from using vitamin d3 analogues as topical therapies.

Hi guys

 I thought I'd give you a quick update on how I'm going on fumaderm.

Im currently still on fumaderm initial with my positively glacial build up of tablets. I'm 10 or so weeks into it and I'm taking 2 in the morning, 1 at lunch and 2 in the evening.

I noticed that each time I increase a dose I have a few days of flushing then it settles, I've never had any stomach issues so far. 

Now I don't know if this is normal but the psoriasis on my legs has gone from an angry red to virtually regular skin colour! The change in my skin is incredible, you'd be hard pressed to notice that I ever had anything on my legs and the psoriasis on my elbows has also all but gone!

Im tempted to tell my derm to keep me on the initial tablets to see if it keeps improving.

It isn't all sunshine and roses though. I still have a fair amount on my sides and shoulders which itch like crazy and seems stubborn to move, but I'm hopeful that as I keep increasing the dose it will kick in.

Has anyone else had a dramatic clearance on just the initial tablets?

I can't answer as I've not been on Fumaderm but, glad you are seeing some improvement and hope it continues!!!
