Another uvb question sorry guys lol

My nurse told me that i wouldnt need to use dovobet now im on the light therapy, but after 2  sessions my skin is driving me crazy, im using a prescribed moisturiser but its not doing much to relieve it, ive read articles saying using the cream with uvb therapy is a good idea, anyone any experience with them both thanks

I can only tell of my experience as I'm not sure what is recommended but I'm sure others will

For me when I was on uv  treatment I did used to use the steroid creams sparingly (Dovobet.)... I found it helped
I wouldn't use dovonex though as it's not to be used with sun or uvb as it is derived from vitamin d ... And you will be getting your vitamin d from the uv treatment

I always used it when I wasn't getting hospital UV treatment and relying on the natural sunshine
It certainly sped the process of getting clear

Yes you can use Dovobet with UVB. But just remember that it does thin the skin so don't go made with it.

What works for you may not work for other people and vice a versa. With respect to the medical profession psoriasis does not have a one size fits all remedy. Yes ask questions, you may be able to use dovobet sparingly to help while the UVB kicks in and your psoraisis starts to slow etc. The prescription moisturiser may not be working for you and you need something else. However, if you do need to experiment be careful with creams and the UVB, you don't want an unexpected tanning incident.
