[split] Dimethylfumarates and Psoriasis

Well what do I have to tell this time.

As you all know I am Dutch and keep an eye on another psoriasis forum in Holland. I am not really active over there, this forum is much more active, but on the Dutch forum another two successes can be counted up to my treatment.

Two guys, David and Bart, are reporting of their advance with dimethyfumarates. David has a very high dose, much muuuuch higher than ever possible with fumaderm, but.... It works, he is almost plaque free.
Bart is a health professional and has a much lower dose, even lower than mine, and already almost free of psoriasis. His GP (now I know ... it does not mean Great Pr..k) is very interested and wants to expand to additional psoriasis patients.

Thanks for the updates, has David reported any ill effects with a high dose? Oh and I'm glad your sorted about what a GP is.

He mentions that he is hardly suffering from flushes, I have told you earlier what that are, only about once a week. That is about equal to mine.
Sometimes some stomach complaints. But that is always deducable to the food he uses, e.g. a bad lunch may cause this. Good food, is important and he states that you will easily find out how important and what to eat.

Alcohol is no problem.
It suggested that red wine is less good, but I never found a relation between the yes or no of wine.
This is also what David and Bart tell on that forum. In the beginning they sticked to the diet, but they both found out that there was not much difference.

I've been taking this for 4 weeks now after coming off ciclo. Psoriasis has come back a little since stopping ciclo. Hoping I get good results from the fumerate before too much comes back. Only noticeable side affects are slight flushes occasionally and a bit windy and looser bowels. Not a good idea to pass wind without going to cos never know if it's only wind. Embarrassingly found this out when I woke up one morning. Pain from PA seems less, not sure if it's coincidence or not.

I have lived in Holland 13 years now, though originally from uk.

Will try to remember to keep you updated on my progress.

Well that's interesting, you have started with DMF !
Of course hopefully it works for you.
Which product do you use?
Psorinovo ?
Where did you get it?
Who is guiding you?
Did you have a blood test?

Pass me a PM perhaps?

The side effects you describe are recognizable and unfortunately normal. Playing/experimenting with the things you eat may help. E.g. I stopped eating mushrooms and sharp herbs.
It can take a while before it gets to work adequately. But if it works, it works both against PS and PsA.
