While the above information is from the manufacturer, it seems strange to me that it's basically the same as Fumaderm and yet the common side effects differ greatly from my experience

Skilarence lists as common side effect as high total white cell count
Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):
- increase in all white blood cells (leukocytosis)
- increase in specific white blood cells called eosinophils

Whereas Fumaderm warns to watch the white cell count for dropping

Leukopenia ( reduction of white blood cells)  Treatment with FUMADERM must be discontinued immediately in the presence of a significant reduction in leukocyte count- particularly if values are below 3,000ul

Lymphopenia ( reduction in specific white cells   if the lymphocyte count drops below 500ul treatment must be discontinued immediately

I'm on Fumaderm and my blood count goes down from time to time .....but has never gone above normal. And from other people's experiences that I've read, it's been the same

I agree Jim, it is a strange set of information aspects that do not seem to fit together. Me too, I have never heard of anyone with a high white cell count.

I also do not see why all these strange stuff is in the pills, lactose monohydrate, cellulose microcrystalline, croscarmellose
sodium, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer (1:1), talc, triethyl citrate, titanium dioxide (E171), simethicone, indigo carmine (E132) and sodium hydroxide.,,
What is the purpose of that?
If you compare to Psorinovo, that is only DMF with a slow release filler. That is it.

Also there is mentioned liver and kidney problems... again with Psorinovo, except for one case which was due to additional other medication, there was never a mention of kidney nor liver problems. And there are thousands of people having and being using Psorinovo.

There is one other strange thing with Skilarence, a leading dermatologist in NL, is connected to Allmirall , this while the Netherlands already has a more than excellent and proven medication in the form of Psorinovo. Why doesn't he build further on that? Is it because a simple doctor has developed it? And not a professor? Is it because of the non-invented by myself syndrome? Is it about the kingdom of the medical world?  Why wouldn't the credits be given to the one who already has helped thousands of patients?
There must be a terrible feeling of jealousy somewhere around ..  Rolleyes
Now there is been thrown away a lot of money for the development of something that already existed and probably is also better. No doubt that this money will have to be earned back and this will be seen in the price. And as it is a registered medication, suddenly all doctors  will tend to prescribe it. Bit like they are the slaves of the system and the pharmaceuts.  Tongue

And who will be paying?...

Somebody probably got an infection. That would account for high wbc. They are required to report it.

Possibly Matari but but they say it's a common side effect ....which I very much doubt

There looking for a patent. They have to do something different than the others. They are essentially making a generic and abusing the patent system.

Jiml, what goes around comes around. If someone got a virus I bet everyone else did.

Each major region typically has it's own trials. Just look at the result from each region. If it's just an infection it will have a lower numbers.

Try seeking some clarification from the regulator, Jim. If you get an idiotic response then take it to the Health Minister. This is public information for taking a medication so it is not unreasonable to expect a high standard of accuracy.
