Exactly same problem here, theres no way to purchase it. They check if you are running lab or any special company that might need it, purpose or purchase etc... Its harder than getting real drugs... ridiculous and I have no idea why? Theres no such demand to even protect people from it...

Hi ladybug good to see you, are you still on psorinovo....I forget over time, but you were clear as I remember on DMF psorinovo last year ...and I got to wondering if you are still clear and taking psorinovo, if so are you on a reduced dose

Has DMF been associated with any cancers or other diseases?

No, it has not. There are even signs that it is the other way around, as you can read over here [post=7461]
Is there a specific reason why you are searching for this information?

Hi tag9 and welcome to the club ....as far as I'm aware ( and I've been on it over 6 years ) in the form of Fumaderm tablets , and have not read of any links to cancer in fact to the contrary i have had correspondence stating that it can be beneficial in stopping cancer cells

See here [post=7461]  from when I had the same concerns as you, but for me it was prostate cancer treatment that concerned me and whether to stop... I continued on Fumaderm and my cancer treatment and am now clear of cance and still clear of psoriasis

Hi tag9,

Good question. I note that both your treatments may help the body resist malignancy. Do you have a history of malignancy? As Caroline and Jim pointed out, there is no indication that DMF does cause cancer. DMF does suppress dendrocytes, cd4 and cd8 cells, plus a few other immune cells to a lesser degree. If there is a cancer mechanism thwarted by one of those cell types in an individual without other defences then they could be at risk. See what you can find. I will have a look. In the meantime Biogen is conducting a study on the subject with 5000 participants. This study will be completed end of February 2024.

Cheers

Thanks for the info. No I'm not at risk for malignancy but have been considering biologics although the cancer and infection risk have been scaring me.

I think that challenge and disappointment are a given, which is why I am so skeptical of alternative therapies: Bogus reasoning, bogus disease theories managed with bogus therapies, and all working seamlessly. Doesn't that ring alarm bells with you Caroline? It certainly does with me. Tongue

Answer to Bill continued from [post=137466]

Indeed Bill you have a true point over there, we can have DMF if we want to and it is even increasing as a first time treatment.
About alternative treatments. Have you ever heard of ASEA? It is an ionised form of water and should reduce the radicals in your body. If not, could you perhaps take a look at it? I bumped in to it and don’t know what to think of it.

And another one, I myself did/do follow an alternative therapy. Big Grin As the reasoning behind it is a very sane one, I don’t think my therapy is a bogus one. Even stronger, on how it looks currently thanks to the research of Prof. Dr. N***** M******* from a well known research institute in Sofia, Bulgaria, it may look like my therapy is the only one that may cure Lyme and Q-fever.

My apologies to Af, Caroline. As you point out, your alternative therapy has supporting evidence. That is what you want. I use an alternative therapy also. It has no evidence to support it other than my experience. My treatment has not gone to plan, if ever there was a plan. If my treatment were to become seamless I would wonder what I was missing or what was about to hit me. Yet I am very pleased with what I have been able to achieve. I caught a cold yesterday, so I hope my lymphocyte count has not crashed again. It presented with polyarthralgia as well, so I hope it isn't flu.

Regarding ASEA, I found a science based medicine article on it with the heading <ASEA is an expensive way to buy salt water, backed up by an enormous number of sciencey-sounding buzzwords and no meaningful evidence, all wrapped up in a multi-level marketing scheme designed to separate the credulous from their money. Don’t buy it. >. At least with raw kidney beans I know that there is a mechanism that will stimulate the production of T cells. A packet of raw kidney beans is much cheaper. Big Grin

Seen by the text on ASEA you found, it seems as I have read the same article, of course I have also scanned the Internet Big Grin , but... to my opinion that was not science based, but instead more an opinion of the person that wrote it. There is no scientific base in his rejection. So... I also reject his opinion. Tongue
Could you perhaps dive a bit deeper in it? I have found the patent on which it is based and a bit been reading it. It appears to be based on much older patents that have expired again.
Added to that, the radicals in your body are so reactive because they carry an extra electron load.
I know it is possible to ionize water, as there are heating systems which are based on that principle, but in how far that also holds for ASEA is unclear to me.

Your treatment is backed by the 35 years of experience with DMF over here in the Netherlands and Germany. Big Grin , so it certainly could last for a long time.
Hopefully your cold or flu did not kick down your lymphos too much.
Wish you quick recovery.

Cheers,
Caroline
