Hello peeps.
I am having real problems with my psoriatic arthritis at the moment.
Where the pain has normally been in my joints (knees, fingers, wrists) I am now getting what I can only describe as muscle pain in my upper arms. It got so bad last night that I couldn't lift my arms up without going 'aaaarrrrrrgggggggg!' or 'ooouuucchhhhh'! Got to laugh really
Still in agony now...

I don't know if I have pulled the muscles or whether it is another side effect of the arthritis.
Has anyone else experienced this at all? Haven't got an appointment with Rheumatologist for a few months.

On second thoughts, perhaps I should just take some paracetamol. That may be a better idea

On second thoughts, perhaps I should just take some paracetamol. That may be a better idea  

Oh sorry about the hug I have been in the agony position where I couldn't move my arm a couple of times last year although I don't think I have psoriatic arthritis. It came on fairly quickly while I was driving and had to let my wife drive home. The pain was intense and I couldn't get out of the car without help the next morning I was no better and went to the doctor he gave me diclofenac which shifted the pian in a couple,of hours ......... The next time it happened I had left over tablets and took one and the pain went and mobility came back swiftly .... Now I'm not saying that's the same as you but it does sound familiar. So maybe an anti inflammatory may do the trick

Thanks for pointing that out Fred I had no idea there could be interaction so it's a no no to diclofenac. Hopefully her doctor won't prescribe them for her ....

If he does I would get another doctor.  

Charlotte I would lay it on a bit and see if you can get your appointment with your dermatologist put forward, explain you're finding it difficult to do stuff and move around.    

I'm sorry for you Charlotte.    
That is another spot that really gets me.  Right in front of my elbows where the tendon meets the elbow.  
All of my P has been gone but the PA is what hits me.   I am now on embril once a week.   I see a rheumatoid dr.  for the PA.
