Hey Kat thanx for reply have you had any side effects on this drug ? I know Acitretin takes 2-3mths to see any differences in skin do you see any changes yet ?Wink

I did have a small headache the first two days but not sure if it was a side effect or just a headache. Other than that, no side effects at all. I have noticed that I am less itchy. I still itch quite a bit, but not as bad as I was. I also had a day (not sure why but it didn't last) where my ears almost cleared up but then they started scaling again. I'm on UVB light treatments as well. So, all in all, I'm seeing slight improvements but not far enough along in the treatment yet to know for sure if this is what's going to work for me. But I've got my fingers crossed, crossing them for you too!
Thanks Kat sounds good not really expecting too much in the beginning, and also hoping for not too many side effects good luck with yours but it is very early days

Hello person without a name Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Good luck with Acitretin, please don't hesitate to start a thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis about your experience and update it as you go as it could help others and it's a good way of you being able to look back.

And like the others said, don't hesitate to jump on in we are a small but friendly bunch. Should you take the plunge and dive in the [Group Specific] you will find I'm the sensible one.

Regards.

Fred.

I do hope so you get so low with p and I now feel building up your thoughts for a cure is a waste of time, lots of ups and downs with the realisation maybe one day it will happen but i do feel the meds are getting closer Wink

I'm sure they are getting down to the fine detail of the cause and how to control it but I suppose it's not in the pharmaceutical companies interest to find a cure Doh
