Hi guys and girls

Just wanted to say a formal hello and thank you all for the info ive read and the info i will be reading in the future. Heres a breif description about me.

Like you guys i haave the dreaded P' as you call it.. ive suffered for aout 10 years now...living with it as just a mild issue but over the past few years it has progressed into a nightmare..

2 years ago i had light thereapy and it worked..i also went abroad shortly after and it basically disapeared..2 years later it is back with a vengance...ill post pics once i get used to all this.

I have no idea's about what triggers my P but im a scratcher...i have a very bad diet..i eat all the crap we shouldnt and i think thats my 1st priority to help this and also my weight gain.

I could try and blame alot of things...the 4 kids...the nagging fiance...the job that i do....

But i blame myself for being lazy and not trying harder with  this situation..

But things are about to change...i hope you guys can help and i hope that i can also help you guys in some way.

Big hello from me !!

Hello Paul.

Welcome to Psoriasisclub. I see you have been reading around and, haha, that you already have an idea on how to improve things.
Indeed eating good, that is no junk food, does help in feeling yourself better. But if it is the trigger of your Psoriasis... that is impossible to prove.
Anyway there is a lot to read about diets on the forum.

Where possible we will help you and support you, it is a nice bunch of guys and girls over here.

Make yourself at home.... eh, about home.... donc, which seems to be your location, where is that on this planet?

Caroline

Hello and Welcome!

There's lots of info here as well as friendly people who understand. I tend to put things off myself so I know what that's like, but thankfully there are a lot of different options available to help.

Hello Paul  Welcome to Psoriasis Club.

Good to hear the information has been helping you, now you are a member you will find a friendly bunch of people and have access to the members only part of the forum where you can get to know us a lot better.

Don't blame yourself. Psoriasis can hit anyone at any time so it's nothing you can blame yourself or anyone else for, it's just bad luck that you have now got it for the rest of your life. But there are things that can help you live with it, and you willl find a lot of support and advise from others just like you.

You will read many things that say it is caused by this or that, but it's rubbish as no one knows exactly what causes it. Yes being overweight may not help and some can help themselves with a diet, but psoriasis affects us all in different ways and there is no one suit fits all. But you or your diet have not caused it, if you're going to get it you're going to get it.

You're making a good start by saying "Things are about to change" as a positive attitude can have a huge effect on it. So keep positive and just dive on in, we can help.

Regards.

Fred.

Hi and welcome Paul, do I assume that is Doncaster ?
Have a good look around the site it has more information on P and PsA than anywhere else that I can think of , Fred has done a great job and you can be sure that there are no con merchants trying to get money out of you. Ask any question you can think of and they will be answered by people who have the problem and can tell as it is.
I used to live in South Yorkshire but now live on the east coast.
Take care and welcome Seaside Dave
