Cheers Fred. I might scare everyone in a couple of months and post a full frontal beard picture. I'm going for the caveman look.

Got me worried then. I thought you was going to follow Grizzly when I started reading that. Scare

I have a beard so you won't frighten me.

I'm a big fan of the surf, Alan, and I fully concur with you about its skin benefits. Bot bloody tough for you up there. My niece took a dip in the North Sea last week (6-7C). No wet suit either. Yikes!

I'm sorry I haven't been on in so long! I hope your 2017 is going really well!
I've been drinking Kombucha and Kefir and it seems to be doing the trick. I've been brewing Kombucha myself for a month or so, and just last week started my own kefir culture. Lots of good homegrown Probiotics! And for me it's working. I went to the dermatologist last month and he was astounded that I am clear. I've been in an 8 year study of psoriasis (we're at year 5 now) and he had to really look hard for any sign of it to keep me in the study. Which made me happy!
My theory is that in my case it's my body's reaction to a fungal infection. I've coincidentally had a fungal toenail for just about as long as the psoriasis. (30 years or so). And that toenail is now growing out healthy and clear.
There's so much we don't know about how our bodies work!
Cheers Big Grin

Hi Celia great to hear you are pretty much clear.......it seems as if Kombucha and Kefir have worked wonders for you, (I have had to google them to see what they are about and it seems a healthy way to live

I wish you continued success

Thanks Jim! I know, I had no idea what kefir or kombucha was either! I was afraid to try them , but kefir is like liquid yogurt and kom bucha is fermented tea with flavors. Not too bad as medicine goes!

My congratulations to you Alan, and to Celia also.
You did great with this approach. And you also did great to describe the whole process to go through, a very good supplement for the site.
Together we all now have covered quite some different approaches that may help and are applicable for anyone to try.

Well done Clap

Thanks Caroline. It has been a long journey so far and I hope that I'm near the end of it. As Fred has said, time will tell. At the very least I have very good management of the disease and feel that I am back to normal. Everything is now fine in my everyday life - work and home, and the disease no longer affects any aspect of my life. This, for me, is a pretty good definition of a cure. That said, I feel sure that if I returned to my old ways (lots of beer, bread and sugar!) then I would no doubt see the problem reoccur.
