Vaseline can be used for a lot of things like reducing the amount of sweat in a wound. The only real problem is if self administered the jar ends up becoming a giant incubator.

I try to use a clean cotton swab anytime I use vaseline but admit at times I'm guilty of not being cautious.

Thanks, all. One decided to become infected with staph, after all. I've been taking antibiotics since December 30 and will be finished by January 9. It's a lot better, now.
