that's a shame but I don't think it's lactose intolerance or you would react to other things with lactose in their makeup

I can't think of any suggestions to ease the cramps apart from plenty of food with the tablet, except perhaps take it midway through your meal and hope it passes through your intestine without causing cramping

Out of interest have you read anything about DMF and it's possible protective effect on COVID? I think it was a small trial but nevertheless interesting.

Ironic how DMF may make you slightly more susceptible to covid but it may have a somewhat protective quality.

Has anyone else read this?

Hi yes I've read of a few studies of Multiple Sclerosis patients who take DMF for their condition, having then got covid but only mildly .
This is an excerpt I found
Quote:
Summary of information on dimethyl fumarate in COVID-19
DMF is thought to prevent NLRP3 inflammasome activation and the process of
pyroptosis (inflammatory cell death) through its action on the protein gasdermin D
[1]. SARS-CoV-2 induces inflammasome activation and the degree of activation is
thought to correlate with disease severity [2]. DMF has demonstrated anti-viral and
anti-inflammatory effects against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro [3]. Other inflammasome-
modulating drugs, such as colchicine, have demonstrated provisionally promising
results in small randomised trials [4, 5]. DMF is licensed to treat relapsing remitting
multiple sclerosis and plaque psoriasis as a long-term immunomodulatory agent and
is generally well-tolerated with no major safety concerns [6, 7]. The UK COVID-19
Therapeutics Advisory Panel has recommended that RECOVERY investigate the
safety and efficacy of DMF in an early phase assessment among patients
hospitalised with COVID-19

I'm struggling with the side effects but if it helped in that area I'd try to persist.

So sorry you're struggling with the side effects still  Bigarm but hope the psoriasis is improving as you are persevering with the tablets. But yes it looks from the various reports that DMF (Skilarence) may well mitigate the effects of covid so for that reason alone worth taking

Hi everyone  quick update for you guys.

Saw my derm, I'm still on one skilarence a day due to side effects but I'm hoping to move to two a day in the next few weeks.

My lymphocyte count has gone down to 0.9 and some other levels are slightly out but that is due to me having a higher haemoglobin level.

Other than that everything is seemingly fine and other than the bad patches on my legs, all other psoriasis is gone.
