Hi jiml, yes I still get cramps although they are much milder and tolerable, I also get flushes but since I went up to 120mg they are very strong and help to heat whatever room I'm currently in  Big Grin

85 85 a cheap way to heat the house, very handy as winter approaches .

If your derm doesn't want to increase the skilarence dosage you could ask for some enstilar foam to deal with the stubborn areas and once clear the skilarence should keep it under control

85

As Jim says, that makes the energy bill nice an cheap.
How long do they last your flushes? Mine between 20 and 30 minutes on average.
The fact that your lympho’s gone down show already that the DMF works. Indeed, perhaps possible to increase, which might help clearing the rest.

My flushes last around 30 minutes and are always at exactly the same time as my cramps. They tend to be around 6 to 7 hours after I take a tablet.

Well the flushes fit then. Smile  They have about the same duration as mines.

With me the moments differ, sometimes one hour after the pill, sometimes 3 or 6, and sometimes nothing. And don't ever have cramps.

Hi OBI,

Just saw your post. I take dmf powder with powdered milk (any dairy is good), but I don't get much trouble these days. I also pre-dose with glutamine n acetyl cysteine and creatine, but I wouldn't know if that helps. I have had phn from shingles this year: not a fun experience. It is a risk with dmf and other immunosuppressive therapies, so you may benefit from a shingles vaccine also.

Cheers

Hi guys, quick update.

I've been on one full strength tablet a day for well over a month, mainly because I still get bad abdominal cramps every single day!  Im very hesitant to increase the dose as I can't face the thought of having another cramp in the middle of the night.

My psoriasis is under control as I'm also using enstilar foam periodically too, although it's trying to come back.

Can imagine that you don’t want to increase.

But isn’t is possible to take the pill in the morning. So have a good breakfast and during breakfast take the tablet?
Then you will have the possible cramp by day, and not in the night. Perhaps that might feel more comfortable.

What you also should do, is give back your problems to the derm, and have the derm ask the producer of Skilarence, Almirall, for a slow release version. We over here in the Netherlands also try to do that. The more patients from different directions ask for that, the greater the chance that they might produce one, which is by the way rather easy.

I really wonder how you would do on my medication, concerning the cramps.

great to see you're still on Skilarence, and can understand your hesitancy upping the dose as you fear more cramps if you fear them at night . You could try increasing by taking 2 in the morning I doubt it would make the cramps any worse. But think you should ask your dermatologist first
But I take 2 each morning and 3 in the evening And I'm sure 2 in the morning or even alternate 2 one day and one the next
Just my thoughts and I'm sure it won't make the cramps any worse

I currently take one in the morning with my breakfast and I will normally get cramps around 4pm. I thought I'd need to take the second st night in order to spread them out?

I think I'd be fine on your meds jiml as I was on Fumaderm previously and had no side effects at all except for the odd flush. I also managed full clearance on just 6 initial tablets a day.
