Hi Jim,
The DMF break is precautionary. I will have no idea what the count is until my next blood test. At least I will get to see if the topical can hold its own. Cheers

A few days on and my thoughts on the topical are mixed. While DMSO is good at carrying things transdermally, it is also a mild irritant. I have been using it four or five times daily, which causes the skin to peel, most notably on my knee. Despite this, the plaques seem a little less red, so I have doubled the vitamin concentration and will apply it twice daily for another week or so. A slow release vitamin injected under plaques might be a better option.

I do think that your P-plaques are minimal already. So apparant your approach is working.

Yes, it is very minor psoriasis thanks to the DMF I take. It would be nice to find something simple to manage them as I don't have the luxury of being able to increase the dosage. Fingers crossed.
Cheers

Yes I was also thinking there isn't much psoriasis there to trial on. Could it be worth you leaving one bit of psoriasis alone, my thinking is it would be interesting to see how well it works on a thicker patch.
But keep it up Bill, at least you do give updates.

Hi Fred,
I am thinking along the lines of injections for the thick plaques followed by topical if they settle. For plaques on thin skin I am testing the topical on its own. The hassle has been with the skin irritation caused by the DMSO. I might be able to get around this by having a higher proportion of vitamins in the topical. If the current two parts in seven does something then well and good, else I will try three in seven and hope that it still absorbs. As much as I would be curious to test it on a substantial plaque, I am grateful that I do not have a substantial plaque to test. Cheers

An update. The topical does not appear to be doing anything for either my knee or elbow. It might have a small effect on my neck and behind my ears. I suspect that the skin on my knee and elbow is too thick to allow the vitamins to absorb in sufficient amounts, and if I apply more I start to get skin irritation from the DMSO. I will continue to use the topical on my neck and behind my ears, but I have resumed subcutaneous injections for the plaque on my knee.
Cheers

The skin on your knees doesn't look too bad Bill so something is working and your neck is certainly not bad
Keep on with the experiments And I hope you are not close to the terrible fires that are raging through your country |
