Ohhhh KatT you are really suffering and are going through the mill I hope you get some relief from the pain and you get an appointment with a good rheumatologist soon

Hoping that taking both treatments works!  I am expecting a long wait for the new rheumatologist but at least it's in the works

Another update...

Situation got worse  

Took an emergency appointment with my GP last Thursday as I am not sleeping, feeling bubbling in my chest (weird and unpleasant sensation), in addition to inflammation and pain (PSA and muscle/joint lupus inflammation)

Tonight, I am sleeping in the living room as I can't go up or down the stairs!  NOT because I did something bad and my hubby is making me sleep on the couch lol

My GP requested a chest xray and blood tests.  Did the chest xray and blood test appointment is this week.

Chest xray results came in today....I have a partially collapsed lung....complication from lupus as the flare continues

New meds....again.....am getting sick and tired of taking sooo many pills!!!!  It's getting ridiculous.....I will soon open my own pharmacy    

Arthritis score 10....I am a week away from my injection 

Trying to work on very little sleep and lots of pain is starting to be quite difficult    

Hope the new meds work.....on them for two weeks!

As for the new rheumatologist well.....he or she already decided to practice elsewhere so back to square one! I asked my GP if I could be referred to a rheumatologist in Ottawa Ontario and unfortunately she is not allowed to do that.  She can only refer to a rheumatologist in Quebec and the closest would be Montreal which is a 2h30 drive....so basically I would need to take a day off every time I have an appointment!

Sooooo going through a friend who has an apparently amazing rheumatologist in Ottawa to see if he would take me on as a patient without a referral.  I will have to pay but it would be cheaper than going to Montreal if I factor in the gas, mileage on the car, time off from work, etc

I'm sorry to hear it is not improving for you KatT, I really hope the new meds and rheumatologist will sort it out.

Oh my KatT what a time you are having.

Good luck with the new pills, I feel for you as I hate taking them. But I guess it has to be worth a try, just to help with the pain and the lung problem.

I hope you get it sorted soon, myself and Mrs Fred are sending good vibes.

Oh wow, that’s horrible I hope the situation improves quickly with the lung, and the pain. Hopefully the referral will come soon as well..
