Mad scientist? Lucky lab rat more like. DMF action? NRF2 activation; HO 1 induction via GSH depletion; apoptosis of mature T and dendritic cells (i.e. memory cells) and activation of NK cells, resulting in a shift to an anti-inflammatory response; Increased mitochondrial function. The mechanism of action is complex and the pharmacological effect is not identical for individuals. It is a good basis for thinking about the drug, but you can only learn by trial and error.

You know that "mad scientest" Is our pet name for you over here at psoriasisclub. Big Grin It is kind of a signal of respect for every very special research that you are doing. But if you like that we call you a "Lucky lab rat" Big Grin , that is also fine with me. Tongue

No offence taken, Caroline. Experimentation is the sole reason that DMF continues to be a safe and effective treatment for me.

Cheers
