I have an update.

Today I had a phone appt. with my doctor. She said she recommends Cosentyx over Talz because Talz has something in it that causes a painful sore at the injection site. They are removing the irritant but not in Canada for a year or so. There was another drug she mentioned but it can cause depression, which I don't need any more of. She said the newer biologics may work better than the older ones.

So I am going to give Consentyx a shot.

Great idea to get  Cosentyx it's proved very effective since it was introduced a few years ago. Im hopeful it will change your life for the better.
Was the other drug you were offered Siliq Kyntheum / Siliq (brodalumab) if so I would avoid that if you can, it lists some nasty side effects

Yes Siliq, and Skyrizzi. My spelling may be off lol. Also an oral one which I didn't consider.

The oral one is Otezla.
But Cosentyx is a good choice. Good luck with it.

I definitely dreaded the Taltz injection when I was on it. But had it worked it would have been totally worth it!

Good luck on the Cosentyx, it's a good biologic. Thumb

Thanks everybody. She said if it doesn't work in 3 months we can "try a different molecule".

Good luck with Cosentyx it's a good choice and yes if after 3 months it's not working it is usual to move.

Don't hesitate to start a new thread in Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis about your journey, it's a good way of keeping track of your progress and your input could help others.
