Hello all-

Thanks again for sharing with me your experiences and results of your treatments. I will try and do the same.

I started Cosentyx one week ago, yesterday I took my second dose.

For those whom are a little Trypanophobic (Fear of Needles), well the injections are easy to administer and almost completely painless.
Very similar to the auto-injectors given to us on the Fire Department. You choose the location to administer wether be it your arm, oblique, or upper thighs.
I have chosen my stomach for the first few doses. I will probably try my legs next.

So far the only symptoms I have felt is some slight lethargy and a runny nose.

My wife claims that my back looks like it's clearing. What's interesting is that in only one week the redness seems to be dissipating. (Fingers Crossed)

Also, my legs remain a bit itchy, but only in specific locations. I have no itchiness in my upper body. Again, a positive.

Well, I'll check back again.

I hope this works. Enbrel didn't take and Otezla was a hellish experience for me.

I wish you all relief and clear skin.

Ric

Hi Ric and thanks for relating your experience, Cosentyx is getting very good reviews for its fast work, wow I week and can see a difference that's amazing p, let's hope it's the one for you and you go on to get full clearance,

The runny nose and lethargy are a small price to pay for a clear skin and will probably pass with time

Well done conquering your fear of needles  Big Grin if you had one ..
Good luck

Hello again Ric good to see you starting your own thread about your experience.

I think a few people get put off the Bio's because it involves needles, but it is so easy to do and once you accept it's only going under the skin and not in your veins it puts a whole new spin on it.

I have never had a fear of needles, but will admit doing the first one myself was a bit daunting. After the third one I realised it was so simple and pain free, and now I just shove it in and less than a minute later it's all done for the next three months (I'm using Stelara)

Do keep updating Ric as I may be moving onto Cosentyx at the end of the year and will be watching with interest.

@Caroline

I don't want to mislead anyone, but I have noticed some redness starting to dissipate.

However, I must confess, that I have been very itchy. I don't know if it's a direct side effect, but I am taking Alegra to deal with it.

There is definitely something going on.

I'll keep you all posted.

R.

I have heard before of it working very fast, it seems to be a great step forward as a treatment .....
Here's hoping in another week the itching might stop
Good luck Thumb

The itching could be caused by your skin healing. Thumb
