Hi all!  It's been awhile since I have written.  I am still on Cosentyx.  My insurance now covers it! Persistence pays off!   And better yet...I am on the free ZERO co pay plan through 12/2015!   I just took my second monthly dosage last Thursday.  So I have been on Cosentyx since about July 9th, 3 months.     Having pretty good clearance.  Some very stubborn large spots on the bottoms of my legs that are clearing much slower.  I have had pretty many spots go into remission.   I notice after my injections I am very fatigued for about 3 days.  It seems like I have some type of ringing in my ears constantly.   Yes, I am also on the toilet on and off a lot more for about 3 to 5 days after my injections.  It's tolerable!  Anybody else want to report in on their progress/side effects?  Love to hear from ya!!

Hello again Angel, I'm not on it myself but just wanted to thank you for your update.

Hi Angel,
Hope you're doing well, I'm considering starting on Consentyx myself and I'm literally lobster like covered over my entire body (not in patches, more like p is my skin and I have small tiny patches of normal skin under my new ugly red P lobster like skin), so i'm doing it very very tough.

How is your progress going? It's been a few weeks since your last post, hoping you're doing well and still improving so I'm keen to hear how things are going?

Cheers,
Fernando

Hello Fernando,

Welcome to psoriasisclub.
I see you just started answering a post from Angel, combining a little intro of yourself. No problem at all.
But of course we like to meet you a little bit more, so I suggest that you write something about yourself in our Introductions thread, so that the members will know that we have another member walking around and they are able to welcom you.

I am sure that you will find us a nice bunch of fellow sufferers. Who combine the gathering of knowledge and experiences, together with letting off some steam in the off topic part of the board.

I wish you a great time over here with us and if you have questions of any kind, just fire away.

Caroline

Hi All!! Been on Cosentyx since July 2015. I am almost cleared up except for patch on my lower left leg which is starting to clear but very stubborn. I still have a couple of spots on my forehead area which pop up and some behind my ears. My inverse spot comes and goes. Still have some side effects for about 1 to 5 days after my 2 injections....go to the bathroom more....headache, nausea. Still on the ZERO co pay plan. They said after January 1st they don't know what will happen. My insurance will be with the same company but my coverage will NOT be as good as it is now. Cosentyx is about 4,500 a month if you have to pay for it yourself. Who can afford that!! I am hopeful the zero co pay plan will still exist on January 1, 2016. If I get BOOTED off of this drug I will be very upset. I am hopeful they offer financial assistance or something so I can continue it. My insurance has a prescription plan but but now I will be responsible for probably about $3,000 a month instead of possibly $45 like it would be right now. No one can shed any light on the matter. I have called the people at Novartis as well as my insurance company. They said it's a wait and see thing! How convenient for them.....

Oh my word Angel.

This insurance thing you americans have is not all it's cracked up to be is it.

You pay them but they are reluctant to pay out.

I hope they do fund you Sad

Fingers crossed for you

hi Angel great news about the clearing skin, let's hope you can keep on the Cosentyx after Jan 1st

It seems rather unfair of the insurance company to keep you in suspense as to whether they will continue to fund it in the new year, it seems an impossible amount to find each month. I hope they give you good news and you will get the zero co pay
Good luck

Thank you for the update Angel, it's all sounding good. Well it is for the treatment, but not so for the possibility of staying on it.

I struggle to get my head around the way your health system works. I've heard of people getting a couple of months Humira or Enbrel free only to find out when it works they have to have a mortgage to keep on it. Very Odd.  Confused
