I get where you are coming from with the problem of injecting in your abdomen, but remember it is only just under your skin and a very long way away from your liver. Any liver problem will be the same even if you injected it in your big toe (*Not recommended by the way) but yes if that site bothers you then don't use it.

Thank you for the update. Thumb

I am gonna suck it up next week  and inject in my stomach.  Just one.  I will do the other one in the thigh area.   lolo  I gotta quit being a big baby.  These are PENS for goodness sake!  So easy and convenient to use.

I've never used the pens myself, I prefer the Syringes. But don't get to hung up about it, if it's bothering you then just move to the next site. I know people who have only ever used their thighs to take Enbrel twice a week without problem, it's all about getting it under the skin that's the important bit to remember.

Now week 4 of my starter injections.  Did it 3 days ago.     Not as much improvement as I would like to see with my plaque psoriasis while being on this biologic.   Minimal clearing in the middle portions of some of my patches.   Less flakiness and itching and not as much pain.   Elbows are clearing.   Being put on the 6 month plan of FREE Cosentyx.   My insurance will will NOT provide coverage for me.  I have like 4 or 5 denial letters to them.  I am feeling kind of discouraged at this point about the ENTIRE thing.   I know most people see a lot of clearing by week 4 to 5.   Holding out hope.......

Don't give up hope Angel sometimes it can take a while for the Bio's to get going, but the clearing and less itching does show it's working. Thumb

I didn't notice any major improvement until the 8th week. If you are already seeing an improvement there's a good chance you'll see more. My humble opinion is that the syringe is a better choice than a pen. You can always request that a doctor or nurse administer it. It would require monthy visita but...

This medical insurance you, our american cousins have, it sounds like there are a fair few of you with P on here having problems with these insurance people in giving you your medication.

Surely if you pay them, they should in all honesty give you what you pay for ????

I know over the pond here, our 'so called' politicians have tried introducing, through the back door & on the quiet, a simular thing as to you guys & gals, medical insurance.

I hope Angel that you get your medication flower. [Image: t4601.gif]

Here, have a bear angel.......

Hang on in there Angel as matari and Fred have said it can take a bit longer and the fact you are noticing a difference shows it is working just think positive if you can....... it will assist the working in my opinion if you have positive thoughts,

I appreciate all of the encouragement!!  Yes, I need to be more patient for sure!!   Yesterday, it appears I am having a flareup and am all bumpy and itchy and red.  So all the progress I have made appears to be UN-DONE.  Ugh.   Do not know why I had a flare up.   Shot 5 in the start up program is tomorrow.
