In relation to the side effects, I started getting severe stomach pains at the begining of week 3. Ended up with a dose of gastritis and even have stopped taking them the last couple of days as the pains/nausea was so bad it was affecting me at work. Have been taking zoton for an antacid for over a week now but worried if I start back on them again the unbearable pain will come back. How long does this usually last? Has anyone else experienced this at the start of week 3?

Hi Lilkell ... Yes with Fumaderm it is not unusual.... I was lucky as my cramps did not last long usually severe for around 30 minutes, sometimes enough to double me over with pain. But for me it subsided slowly after 30 minutes and passed until the next day usually some days were worse than others. But they do get less severe as your body adjusts to it.. I think you have done the right thing stopping for a couple of days but, I know it's unpleasant but if I were you I would start again, perhaps go back One step on the dose and give your body more time to adjust ( it's just my opinion not a medical observation) but you will need to start again or the build up you have got so far will be lost.... If you start again and try the supplement that Deena uses for psorinovo ( which has the same active ingredient )see here RE: introduce myself if you read here she takes the supplement for the flushing but it may well be effective against the cramp you are experiencing.
Just make sure when taking the tablets ......Always with meals......... And plenty of Fluid to wash them down.
Caroline also recommended to others Having a yogurt with the tablets
I hope this helps

They are probably hoping you will respond on the low dose and giving it time to kick in
I hope it's starting to work again and you will be clear soon

yes it is Jim but my local hospital don't prescribe fumaderm.
saw the nurse again last Friday for blood and urine test.
had a good chat with her regarding the dose it seems that they
have had a few people come down with some nasty infections
hence why they now do monthly checks . nurse is going to ring me
tomorrow and if my bloods are ok up me to 1 blue tablet a day.

Phil

I doubt if they have had any nasty infections apart from one where the patient wasn't monitored correctly and suffered PML as a result .... Which is not the drugs fault but the lymphosite level dropping far to low without being picked up... I have seen no evidence of any other problems with Fumaderm ... But it's like all other drugs and does need monitoring ... That is one problem in 30 years attributable to bad monitoring. I f I am wrong I would like to hear of the infections caused by taking Fumaderm.... Could you ask her next visit what infections they have developed as I would very much like to hear of them...

I am with Jim on this point.
He says all things quite right and I am very curious on the infection thing. Never heard of with DMF.
