I have a post on Types Of Psoriasis Explained where I state that (PPP) Palmoplantar Pustular Psoriasis affects both the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet.

Thankfully not had it, but can I ask you does that mean you will get it on both or you could get it on both. ? If you see what I mean.

I will definitely get both Fred. More so on my feet than than my hands. This happens every time the appointments get cocked up. It will also flare up on my legs, buttocks, *ahem* other bits, chest and scalp depending on how long I'm without meds.

Day 2

Lost another 3 inches of skin off both feet through the night. Now have raw skin exposed. Massaged with coconut oil, occluded with clingfilm, put some cotton socks on and popped some thick cotton sanitary towels into my shoes. Walking reasonably comfortable.

Friends came with car and picked me up for coffee and cake which was very enjoyable. Now home and sat outside (feet uncovered) getting some sun on my skin. I can feel the pustules bubbling under the surface. Two toenails turning yellow and a couple of tiny blisters forming on each hand.

Gained 2 points on the Psoriasis score (now a 10).

Mood - Good
Comfort Level - Pretty good.
Sense Of Humour - Excellent

Well I suppose keeping a sense of humour is a good thing, maybe we should have a humour score.

Have you tried Bamboo Socks? Mrs Fred got me some to try and they are great, not expensive and I have found them to be very comfortable.

EDIT: I didn't want you to think that was a joke, they are good honest.

Day 3

Psoriasis score 13

Skin continues to fall off my feet. Around 50% of my right foot and 25% of my left foot has raw skin exposed. Those bubbling pustules are breaking through. I can only describe the feeling as like walking on concrete bubble wrap. The burning sensation is starting too. I have an ice pack on stand by in the freezer for later.

I can also see tiny pustules forming just under the skins surface on my hands, lower left leg, left buttock and right knee. And I have a sore patch on my bikini line (left side).

I'm coping but having to walk on tippy toes more. This doesn't do my ankles any favours at all but it's important to keep moving (and sun chasing).

Mood - Still good (despite non-psoriasis related stresses today)
Comfort Level - Reasonable
Sense Of Humour - Still there

Well I was going to do a day 4 post but got sidetracked. Will post later today when I've had some sleep.........and don't feel so tetchy..........and can get on top of the heat/pain/throbbing/cracking/blistering/tearing in my feet (and other parts).

Day 6

Psoriasis score has jumped to 26.

My feet are pretty useless and very painful now.

Hands are bubbling nicely and I can feel it itching and bubbling on my scalp.
Patches forming on my upper legs and I now have crater buttocks.
The pustules are erupting in my inner thighs and across my caesarian (sp?) scar.
The big toe and little toe on my right foot are now yellow and tender and are being pushed forward. These were the first two nails I lost during my worst outbreak.

I am, frankly, in a bit of a mess.
Only two more days until my appointment thank god.

I was forced to take a sleeping pill just so I could get some rest. Sleep deprivation really does make things appear bleaker than they are. I'm also lucky that my O/H had the weekend off and has been supplying me with bowls of lukewarm water, making sure I eat and helping me in and out of the bath.
Water feels like battery acid at the moment.

It's been an endless round of foot soaking, moisturising, occluding and sun chasing. Oh, and keeping my sanity. Thank goodness for books, although reading academic books on Victorian Madhouses may not be a particularly uplifting choice.

Mood - Reasonable (sometimes dipping in and out of 'fed up')
Comfort Level - Reasonable (as long as I don't move too much)
Sense of Humour - Still there (but bordering on gallows humour at times)

My O/H is going to take pics for me later today. They wont be pretty.
