Don't worry about his mum we will look after her if and when she arrives we are always kind at first  Big Grin
Glad things are good with you and the garden should give you something else to do apart from reading  Big Grin

I am looking forward to having some outside space.
Somewhere relaxing to soak up the sun, do some writing/reading/crafts etc ( UK weather permitting of course).
I have an old but sturdy bench out there just waiting to be painted and cushioned up ready. Just need the incentive to do it now.  Smile
Yep, there are good things to look forward to despite everything.
Staying positive.  Big Grin

A young guy (well, younger than me) came round to give me a quote for some work in my backyard. (NOT a euphemism by the way).  Wink
Anyway, we got talking about psoriasis and how I was struggling to keep up with my container garden. Turns out his mum has psoriasis too plus arthritis. He created a seating area for her so she could soak up some vitamin D and made accessible beds/containers for her as she loves cottages gardens & herb growing.
He really knew his stuff about what would work best for me and my space, took a sketch and is compiling me a planting plan & list of recommended flowers for the more shady areas.
I already have all the gear ( hanging baskets/brackets/pots/tools etc.) so he's coming back next Thursday to get it all done.
£50!!!  eek
I was expecting to be quoted double that.
I told him about this little forum if his mum wanted to check it out ( so best behaviour folks).  Tongue

Bargain  Thumb

I'm trying some container gardening this year as I didn't manage to get the garden turned over, I've never tried it before apart from a few bits of veg in an old bath last year and I was amazed at how easy it is.

I don't think my Container Garden will end up as smart as yours though. [Group Specific]  Big Grin

That's great! Working on a container garden here as well and hoping to have some nice flowers throughout the summer. I'm not very good with plants so we'll see.

Keep us updated on how it turns out! A place to sit is a great idea.

I have not slept so well for AGES!
Karen really did some sterling work on those tense muscles of mine.
Out like a light. Big Grin
And I was up bright and early to vote. Smiled at the Green candidate, snarled at the Tory then went and completely forgot my address (not enough coffee). Blush
A few 'papercuts' at the bottom of my feet that require attention but, overall, I'm very relaxed.
Probably wont be around over the weekend as it's Alex's operation in the morning. Confused

Finger's crossed that all goes ok, and a speedy recovery!

Looking forward to my next massage appointment on Wednesday.
The only niggle this time is going to be Friday when my boy goes in for his operation. He's having plates inserted behind his ears to enable him to wear hearing aids without the headband he uses now. Because it takes a couple of weeks for them to fuse to the bone he will have to be 'aid less' for a while. I have lots of fun activities and hugs at the ready. Just nervous about the actual operation and will have to watch my stress levels.

Am back home alone.
The operation went well but Alex is having a struggle with the after effects of the anaesthetic.
He still can't keep fluids down so can't ingest any pain relief.
Hasn't eaten now for over 24 hours and quite poorly.
They have kept him in hospital.
Dad is staying at the hospital tonight ( only 1 parent allowed ) and I will be back in the morning hoping for better news. XXX

Poor Alex.
I really feel sorry for him, and for you as you are probably worried about him.
Hopefully indeed better news soon. Anaesthetics can be very nasty.
