I can tell you over here.. I have ask for my blood  results and always get strange looks as if to say, why would you want them ....

.
Well BRIGHTEYES a mixed result today ... Shame it wasn't the consultant you saw but you did learn some things
that the cyclosporin was upsetting your kidneys and getting your bloods messed up
you found your bloods are now normal
The nurse did take notes to ask the consultant so your message may well get through
.
What I would do is as Fred said, take the methotrexate and some pain killers
Hope that it starts working
Tomorrow get on the phone to the dermatology and tell them you aren't happy on methotrexate and need a phone call from someone that can help . Tell them that methotrexate is as bad for your kidneys as cyclosporin and you would prefer to be on something less toxic like Fumaderm .... If he says it's not an approved drug lead him here to the Fumaderm threads and tell him it is used in the UK and very successful...I came off methotrexate and within a month was on Fumaderm

It's what I would do if it was me. Because there is no need to suffer when there are inexpensive drugs available that have a 70% chance of working

Not everything is Macaroons fault it's always been like that, but I'm not sure if it's still the same today though I would imagine it is.

I was very surprised when I had my first blood test here and it came through the post the next day, I had never even seen my own blood test results before and a lot of the time in the UK they took a couple of weeks or they got lost.

Better still was when I had an x-ray and was told to go to the waiting room, 10 minutes later I was called into an office and my x-ray was explained to me and I was told to take it to my GP with a written note. (All was fine but my GP said that's your property and gave me it back)

And with all the different scans I have had this past year, I have built up a great collection of CDs. (No music on them though, just little journey's through my brain. Very entertaining they are)  Big Grin

Here, it's the opposite. I usually get a copy of all test results in the mail or at the doctor's office. Last bloodwork, the doctor said he'd print them out and I told him not to bother as he'd already gone over everything with me. So I got the strange look as if to say, why WOULDN'T you want them.

Here, you get a colonoscopy and they give you enough pictures to start a scrapbook, I mean really why do I want pictures and who the heck do they think I'm wanting to show those to??

Feel like I've just given in.
Taken the bl**dy MTX.
I feel too weak....physically and psychologically.... to argue at the moment.
Sleep patterns gone out of the window, appetite crushed and constantly sore/burning.
Attempted to do a short, online course but can't concentrate. Same goes for reading.
I just feel like I am back at the beginning. Sad

Oooh BRIGHTEYES Bigarm I hope that didn't hurt to much ( the hug that is)
Ok so you've taken the methotrexate you weren't given much choice and while you( and I ) don't like it ... If it starts to give relief the side effects may well be worth it
Come back often and Fred or any of us will give you a pep talk and hug anytime Bigarm

What a palaver.
Asked for a hospital buddy for yesterday so I could go get bloods taken. No one was available ( end of half term - kids back at school ). :(
Patient Transport prioritise appointments not just random bloods ( they have to I guess )so no joy there.
Arranged for a District Nurse but cannot have a firm appointment ( will call in next few days ).
Not really conducive to a firm timetable.
So inconvenient this being immobile lark.
On a positive note, I started making a rag rug last night, Still have use of my hands. Smile
