to your new home away from home. I am the same age as you and I have made many changes recently to my diet. As much as diet is important on your journey with psoriasis, it is not the whole answer, IMHO. After I ditched gluten and went with more of a high protein, low carb diet, I had a dramatic transformation. After the gluten was gone, my psoriasis made a dramatic improvement, but nowhere near cleared. I do feel you are on the right track though. I also feel that if you tried a different biologic, you might have better results.
I have had psoriasis for decades. 21 years ago, I shaved my head to cut down on psoriasis in my scalp area and head. It worked for that area in the respect that it allowed me easier access to treat my scalp and head with treatments. I am still bald today. As far as weight goes, I am down to 332.6 lbs., a net loss of almost 35 lbs. So I hear ya, in respect of weight being an issue. I am also diabetic, so I don't have sugars in my diet. All in all, in the last 90 days or so, my life has made a dramatic change. I feel that I am much healthier, eat wayyyy better and exercise as best as possible (mainly because of a pinched nerve in my lower back, arthritis in my spine and PTSD). I am limited as to what I can do.
So in a nutshell, I hear ya. I am willing to listen and help as I can. And let me tell you that there is a whole new, exciting world of culinary experiences that is packed with flavor that awaits you!
Cheers,
Wintrman
