Newly diagnosed and new to this group

Hello everyone
I am newly diagnosed ....turned 50 in March and four days later experienced first ever psoriasis. I'm covered scalp to feet including my face which has caused me to feel anxious and depressed. So far had a short course of oral steroids that did nothing. Topical steroids hardly touched it. Currently using protopic on face and diprosalic on scalp and body. Any advice gratefully received.....

Hi Kentpatient and   to the club .....sounds like it's hit you hard, little wonder it's causing you anxiety

Are you seeing a dermatologist, or is it just your GP prescribing to you ......it seems as if you need to be seen by a dermatologist and get onto a treatment plan .
I think the best advice I can give us to accept you have psoriasis and try not to stress to much as it's known that stress can trigger or make psoriasis worse
You will find talking with fellow sufferers also helps
