Hi Will20 and welcome to our club of friendly fellow sufferers. Sounds like you have had it a bit rough medically over the past few years. Here's hoping that it has turned a corner for you and you can stick with the Stellara. Take your time browsing the forum, there is a ton of really useful info on here thanks to Fred. Please don't be afraid to ask questions, although none of us are medics we do have a wealth of experience of the dratted affliction. Enjoy your time on here.

Hello JohnB,
Thank You for the Welcome. I see you are on Acetretin - I took that from 2007 to 2013 (almost 6 years) and I was completely clear for 5 years. Then it just suddenly stopped working? I have suffered with this condition for over 40 years - but, when the Diabetes appeared in the year 2000 my Psoriasis changed it's "Personality" for the worse! I am paying the Price now for the Acetretin, Methotrexate, Stelara, Humira and Cosentyx with Liver Problems.

If you dont mind me asking did you suffer from any side effects when you were on Acitretin? 6 years is not bad on one drug and I expect it will give up on me as well in time but at the moment although I am not clear, I am more than happy with the results, even if the dry lips and the de-lminating feet are driving me mad.

But you said "I am paying the Price now for the Acetretin, Methotrexate, Stelara, Humira and Cosentyx with Liver Problems" Methotrexate I can understand, I don't know enough about Acitretin to comment, but as far as I know the Bio's don't cause liver problems.

I thought the kidneys took more of a hit (although having said that LFT is one of the blood panels). It was going to be my next question once I had warmed Will up . OK so I have to now have to ask I you dont mind Will, has the diabetes been medically attributed to the psoriasis drugs? Please don't feel you have to answer. We all understand there are questions we would rather not reply to.

Hi JohnB,
Whilst on the Acetretin I suffered with Hair Loss on my scalp, lost all the hairs on my Arms and Legs and body hair went very fine. Finger and Toe nails would split and crack lenghtways. Had very dry skin on the soles of my feet and palms of my hands.

Hi again JohnB,
My Liver Function was elevated but the Dermatologist at that was keeping an eye it. When It stepped working I had a month of taking nothing except using creams before I started on the Methotrexate = which I was on for 18 months. Whilst on this my Liver Function rose a bit more and I developed Aneamia, which I am still being treated for to this present day. Whilst on the Biologicals my Liver Function became erratic and the Dermatologist referred me to see a Liver Specialist, I underwent 3 different Scans and a Liver Biopsy and my last Liver Function in October 2016 the results were: ALT 107 - Gamma GT 100. I was diagnosed in October 2016 as having Fibrosis and NAFLD of the Liver. (I don't drink Alcohol or smoke) and the Liver Specialist told me it's with been on these Biological Drugs. I understand there are some things people would prefer not to answer. But, by all means ask away questions. Will
