Good luck Amanda.

Don't listen to Jim, I think he should make an edit and put a Warning in his post as it could mislead others.

To give an update, I seen the on call dermatologist yesterday while my consultant is off. She was really nice and gave me some more elocon ointment to use for the moment until I see my consultant on the 27th. I used some last night and can already feel a difference in my knuckles Big Grin

Great you have something to help..... Just use it very sparingly and not very often, if it's given you relief, that's great but do be careful with it as it is a steroid cream.

Yes like Jim said be careful with it. And take note of what it says about the application when pregnant.

Quote:
During pregnancy treatment with Elocon should be performed only on the physician's order. Then however, the application on large body surface areas or over a prolonged period should be avoided.

Thanks guys got an appointment with my consultant on 27th so it was just something to keep me going until then. It's helping for the moment anyway and that's the main thing!

Good luck on the 27th but I don't think there is much else they can give you whilst pregnant apart from creams. You are being monitored that is the main thing, so if it is helping for now then stick with it.  Smile

Yeah I'm just concerned about long term use of it. They keep mentioning light treatment but I've tried it a few times and it's never helped.
