Great to know no side effects ... don’t be downhearted I hope you start to see changes in your skin soon, but as long as there are no side effects keep progressing.... usually the reason people stop is because the side effects get intolerable ... but without them it should work and when it does it should give long term relief... As you can tell I have a lot of faith in DMF as a treatment

So I've got 40 tablets left and am due to take 1 tonight and then tomorrow its 3 a day for a week and then 4 and so on. My next dermatology appointment is on the 20th (which according to my dodgy maths is about the exact time I'll run out) but it takes a week or so for the tablets to arrive in clinic so there would be a period where I don't have any tablets to take. That's not right is it?
I tried to ring the hospital to speak to my dermatologist but was told she only works Tuesdays so I was put through to medical records but they couldn't help and tried to put me through to another department but the line was busy. Left a message but haven't heard anything back. I'm not sure what to do?

I would phone again and ask to speak to the dermatologists secretary ....if they are at a different hospital it shouldn't matter ask for the number, then speak to the secretary and ask for a prescription explaining you shouldn't have a break in the treatment ( which I assume is working or at least not causing you problems)
They should be able to get a supply to you so you don't run out I'm always phoning the secretaries and asking for another prescription, when they put my appointments back and it's not been a problem for me

In case you don't get through,
Skip the weekends in taking them. 1: it will give you almost a week extra 2: there is no big deal in skipping them 3: it will give your body a few days af rest from the DMF. Which is advisable and will prevent that your body will become immune to it.

Notes have been left for my dermatologist so hopefully she'll be sorting out getting me some more.
Anyways, on 3 full strengths a day now. Nothing new to report; still no side effects or any signs of improvement to my skin. It's a slow one for sure but I have faith it'll start to work soon, perhaps after next week when ny dosage includes 2 full strengths at once.

Yes hopefully you will get fresh supplies before you run out now I’m glad you are keeping the faith with Fumaderm I’m hoping it has the same long term effect as I see with my skin .... yes as the dose increases you will hopefully start to see an improvement ..... yes it is a slow worker the reason that they have a maximum dose is because some people need the full six tablets to get results

A therapeutic dosage is anywhere up to 3*240mg daily. I started at this dosage and had a big improvement in about four weeks. People vary in side effects and therapeutic response, so a slower buildup makes more sense. The absence of side effects is a good thing.

Had more ordered so will hopefully be picking them up on Tuesday at my next derm appointment.
Progress wise I'm now on 4 tablets a day, the last dose of each day being 2 full strengths of course. Annnnnnd, without wanting to sound like a broken record, still suffering no side effects. This probably means that whilst I'm only taking 240 in one dose I'm unlikely to see the sudden onset of side effects I take it, even when I'm on 6 a day?
