Hii to all, my fans (haha no kidding)

Hi everbody,

I will track my progress here for myself but also for people who would like to followSmile

Yesterday I went to the rheumy and she prescribed me the Cosentyx which I hope will help. The plan is to do a shot of 300 mg each week for six weeks and then I have an appointment again. Im curious If I will notice differences, hopefully yess. Im also following a physio program to strengthen my tendons, muscles, because mostly I have pain surrounding the attachments of the tendon (knee-elbow) and hopefully It will help with my tow which is quite swollen and red.

The conversation yesterday about switching the bio's went quite good, my rheumy listens well and is empathic and I am thankful for that.

My injection didn't go very smoothly I screwed it up a bit, I did it in the leg as well but quite painful and It spilled a bit, never happend before. Maybe next time the belly or where do you do it? Never happend with humira though.

But maybe I still have to progress in this field though, Im still sort of an amateur who will become a PROo haha

Allright till next week! Bigarm

First fan reporting for duty….. Angel

Good luck Steven.
As far as I know, the belly is easier. But it is always difficult injecting yourself.

Good luck on your Cosentyx journey Steven, I will be looking forward to your updates.

As for the injection if I remember correctly it's in two shots. I used to do one in each side of the belly, I've always found it easier and more comfortable in the belly than in the leg.

Also are you using the prefilled syringe or the pen type injector ? I ask because most people find the syringe easier to use and a lot less painful.

Did you also get it out of the fridge for around 1/2 hour before use ? It helps to stop the stinging feeling.

Yep always the belly never the leg for me! So painful in the leg..
Some bios are easier to do than others, but I agree getting it out early and letting it get up to room temp. makes it less stingy.

Yes it used

Thank you! Ehm I am using a pen type injector. I get them prefilled though, I don't know if you could get a syringe here. Yes I took it out a bit earlier, but next time I will sting myself in the belly I think. And not when its dark outside in the morning Wink And take it out one hour before. So next tuesday next try!

I just checked my old thread and it comes in two forms, this is the one I used.

As you can see the syringe is already prefilled just like the pen, but it's easier (in my opinion) and less painfull to use

I just had my two 150 Cosentyx shots. I did them both in my belly on different sides though. Luckily I have some fat there so I didn't feel anything hah!

But it went smoothly this time, curious when I might experience some changes, but I understand it can take a while. When did any of you experience changes after the bio's ?

Bigarm

Today just a chill day, probably a short walk and for the rest couch potato covering myself in blankets.

Couch potato covering yourself in blankets sounds comforting.  Good job on giving yourself the first two shots!  Here's to quick healing.   Clap
