Enstilar is a short term fix and it contains a potent steroid which could thin the skin, not something you want on the foreskin. ![]() Have your tried Coconut Oil (not to be used if you use condoms) or Vaseline ? But your dermatologist should prescribe something mild for the genital area. Welcome to Psoriasis Club by the way ![]() Regards. Fred.

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome, I actually rang back his office and said what the leaflet had down..he still said to use it once daily at night for 2-3 weeks then use protopic ointment for 2 weeks. I havnt tried coconut oil ever, I was give canestan from my gp!! Also seem to have a thing call hydradenitis on my groin, not sure if I use that there as well.
Thanks, D

You could try it on a very little piece, e.g. first you put a little Enstilar on your finger and then you apply it to a small area. If you want to. The other option is to contact the firm that has produced Enstilar and ask their opinion.

I don't think it will help with hydradenitis. And I would advise not getting carried away using too much enstilar, maybe use coconut oil during the day and as your dermatologist suggested Enstilar in the evening. Tip: Remember to keep away from flames when using enstilar. You can read more about coconut oil here: Coconut Oil

Thanks very much for the info..I will defo try the coconut oil, as for the hydradenitis, I was prescribed doxycycline for 3 months, now he says maybe for 9 months!! I'm not going down that road. Appreciate all the help.

Hi D and welcome to the club
![]() I would also urge caution as enstilar is a potent steroid, however I use it on my scalp and behind my ears without any problem but haven't needed to try it on my genitals and Fred's suggestion of coconut oil is good and I always use that as a general moisturizer and it's available at your local supermarket in the cooking oil section .. but get the extra virgin type is best

Thank you.. picked up the coconut oil while ago.. I'm mild enough, scalp and 1 or 2 very minor bits, hoping it won't escalate.. the genitals are probably the most annoying obviously.
