Ahhh I missed a few posts here and got confused and have spent the last hour catching up . I'm pleased you have told us but it will still be you, and as KatT said welcome Sheila and carry on

Personally I don't think much about who is what here. We're all people, we all suffer with psoriasis and we're all family.
I do think it's good that you shared you are doing hormone treatments and it will be great information for anyone else who may be going through it (or future people going through it) to have info on how or if your treatment is affected.

As Kat said by all means talk about hormone replacement therapy and how it effects your psoriasis and/or it's treatment on the psoriasis boards. You could talk about that in this thread or make a new one, it's your choice but it helps us get found in search engines if we keep to the topic of psoriasis on the public boards. You are very welcome to start other threads about your brother and your journey with the hormone replacement therapy, and I would encourage you to do so. But yes if you could keep psoriasis on the health boards and other stuff on the members boards it will help Psoriasis Club and also let others find your threads easier. Good luck. Fred. Edit: Just found your new thread [Group Specific] thank you.

Well how very exciting for you Sheila - I wish you all the best!
You never know it might improve your psoriasis too, both from the hormones and also if your stress levels improve by making this change.

The unique factor here will be how the meds will affect an over abundance of hormones in the male body. Will Methyltrexate have an effect.

I know it's been a bit since I last posted. Honestly, nothing much has changed. Enstilar has lost it's effectiveness and so my psoriasis worsens and even appearing in places it wasn't before. One of those new places, is behind the knees. Holy crap it itches!! Aveeno, Gold Bond moisturizers, CeraVe, and coconut oil combined, although are helping, aren't up to the task of healing. Psoriasis has even appeared between the fingers and the psoriasis in my ear canal has gotten worse too, in spite of not having the Enstilar applied there. So here I am waiting. What's a girl to do!?

What's a girl to do!?Damn that's a pain. I have always been a little reluctant using creams especially the steroid ones, it never seems to end well with most folks. The ones I found most effective was a coal tar sludge that sadly we cant get any more. Have you tried a non drowsy antihistamine (loratadine based) to help with the itch? I had decent relief from the dreaded itch taking the odd tab when needed.
