Still going in the right direction

Well, I am back from holidays and things are going in the right direction. I have lost 33.6 lbs. and still going! I had a phone meeting with my GP (yes the same one I've always had, sadly), and he told me my A1C's have dropped from 9.8 to 5.7. So I went from High, to the mid range of normal. Exciting news to be sure. As for my psoriasis? I am continuing treatment with Enstilar. Doc told me to continue using it and if we encounter any side effects, we would deal with it then. So far, I have not had any significant mood swings, no thinning skin, or diminishing of efficacy. I am doing it, because I have had life now, with fairly clear skin and I dread going back to red, scaly skin with bleeding arms and wrists and a face that bears the redness and scaling. Call me vain, but I don't want to see or feel that way again. I know it's a shallow point of view, but it's been a while since I have seen my face without psoriasis on it; years in fact.
Anyways, as always, I invite feedback and thoughts. Doesn't matter if they are positive comments or not. Speak your mind. I know there are people here who have been in my shoes and had the same feelings, so I welcome whatever feedback that comes my way. I will learn from them all. Cheers, Wintrman

Sounding more positive Wintrman, keep it up.
![]() It's not vanity, I'm sure all of us have dreamt of wanting to be free of psoriasis. We know we will never get rid of it 100% and if we do it can still come back, but once we learn to live with it and manage it life gets better.

Hi ,, that's great news.
Enstiliar is dam good I still use it on my ears and it works great. Congratulations on your weight loss that's certainly a big plus and the good test results. I know exactly what you mean about seeing your face without the psoriasis , I will keep my fingers crossed for you. It's not vain by the way .

Wonderful news
![]() You are not vain at all!!! I was completely clear and now my psoriasis is back with a vengeance but I have always been lucky (if we want to call that luck!) that I've never had much in my face. The sun usually cleared my face and recently (because I had on spot that was getting visible), I bought Polysporin with 1% hydrocortisone and it disappeared.

I can feel the difference in you from your post, I’m so glad you are catching a break, so nice to hear - and hopefully you are getting sleep now which probably makes a big difference.

I am sooo stressed right now! My kid came home from Halifax, to visit before his first posting. The man is a PIG! He is leaving half eaten foods and mess all over the place. I am not a clean freak by any measure, but I like to have things a certain way. Every where I look, I find stuff not cleaned up (dishes, glasses laid about), toilet he's used for a week is filthy. Hair all over the bathtub after showers, 2 and 3 pairs of shoes laid about at the back door, wrappers of granola bars out and about. I am going nuts! I am not asking much. I just want him to clean up his own mess! I am not wearing a french maid outfit and walking around cleaning! I just want a bit of normalcy. If he doesn't change, I am going to have to ask him to go and stay at his girlfriends place, because I am not putting up with it after today. I know my wife will be ticked at me for doing so, but I am getting flare ups on the elbows, knees, and navel areas because of the stress. That's sucks, bigtime! After all the success, I am taking a step backwards with my Ps and I am NOT happy about that!
Thanks for listening to my rant. Cheers, Wintrman

Eurgh, very annoying! Is there any point in showing him your psoriasis? I don’t suppose he’d feel a bit guilty?
