Netherlands are slower, we probably will start the 5th of January. Probably also the caretakers and elderly first. Don’t know which vaccine.

Janssen should also be almost ready and they produce very close to me.

The EU was and still is very slow organising the vaccine approval.

Dear David

Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding Stelara®  (ustekinumab). I understand you are having difficulty in obtaining information on whether the 90mg dose will be compatible with the new range of COVID-19 vaccines.

Further to you enquiry, and as you may be aware, the patient information leaflet contains the following guidance with regards to vaccines in general:

Other medicines, vaccines and Stelara

Tell your doctor or pharmacist:

• If you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines.

• If you have recently had or are going to have a vaccination. Some types of vaccines (live vaccines) should not be given while using Stelara.

With the current pandemic, companies are trying to make their vaccines available as soon as possible, and most are still in the clinical trials process. Depending on the technology of each vaccine, the risk/benefit will differ. We unfortunately do not have data on the concomitant use of ustekinumab with any COVID-19 vaccines.

The Code of Practice for the Pharmaceutical Industry does not allow pharmaceutical companies to provide medical advice to patients, or comment on their personal medical matters. We recommend you contact your Consultant dermatologist discuss such matters instead; they will have access to your medical history and are best placed to advise you on the most appropriate course of action.  If they require specialist information on any of our products we would be happy to help.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the package leaflet. You can also report side effects directly via the Yellow Card Scheme at: LINK REMOVED or to Janssen-Cilag Ltd Drug Safety on PHONE NUMBER REMOVED.

By reporting side effects you can help provide more information on the safety of this medicine.

I hope this information is useful.

Yours sincerely,

Sent on behalf of

Medical Information Department

Edit by Fred: Link and phone number removed.

Sorry Fred I thought that I had checked it when I copied my email from Jannsens the manufacturer of Stelara.

They can't commit as it's up to your dermatologist, they supply the goods but it's your dermatologists job to advice.

We don't do xmas.
