and Great Clouds in the sky I hear you on the bread and potatoes.... or the crisps, sugar, rice, tomatoes, cookies, CHEESE, cheese and other milk based products, coffee, nuts, seeds... CHEESE. Etcetera. Am however, eating lots of healthy stuff and healthy fats. Gotto love the fats =]

That said, a quick update:

I now have some very very very small inner clear skin on the patches of my elbows, and even Mr Artemie can tell altough it's only very slightly noticable. The only extra thing I'm doing besides diet and supplements is a generic calcipotriol salve, almost daily. That never helped before, altough it kept the scaling more at bay.
I'm practising some "healing affirmations"  in the morning since a few days while brushing my teeth; it has been scientifically proved that you can 'think yourself better'  with repeating positively phrased healing mantras. After all, it's hard to fight your own decisions. And it's science baby!

So not only do I eat like a hippie, I'm practising it too. Ah well...

Starting weight 22th of july 2019: 75.7 kilos
Current weight ( in the morning, after toiletvisit Smile     65.7 kilos
Sounds like a really positive start Artemie, good luck and stay strong around those carbs.

Craig.

Great to hear your methods Artemie and congratulations on the weight reduction it's a bonus although as you say it wasn't the reason for the changes.
I'm also a firm believer in " think  yourself  well" and although not a cure, having a positive outlook is certainly good for your well being and may assist whatever other course you take to wellness .
So I hope your positivity combined with the diet adjustment helps the psoriasis ....
I look forward to the next hippie update  Big Grin  Thumb

thanks guys =]

I should mention I'm drinking a lot of homemade bone broth that I make in my new fancy Instant Pot. It's a pressure cooker with lots of options, like making yoghurt, slow cooking, stew, saute, etc, all on different buttons. Fancy that. Bone broth takes 2 hours instead of a couple of days in a regular pot.

Apparantly the collagen in bones is good for 'Leaky Gut' aka compromised tight junctions in the smaller intestines.
Organ meat is good too, best from grass fed animals, just like the bones. Bones are cheap =]

it's a long way to Tipperary, but there is definite thinning of lesions, not on all 'zones' yet.
Interestingly the elbow plaques are thinnest; it's sortof meandering, like an estuary instead of one big red spot, or islands is another way to describe it. I can tell best after oiling up after a shower. A big area on my lower leg is doing the same.
So, there's progress, albeit slow =]

Glad it's going in the right direction Artemie, it may be slow but if it's working it's well worth sticking with it as the summer is just around the corner and that will also hopefully help Thumb

15th of april 2020 update. Living in a mobile home on the building site as partial lockdown continues in the Netherlands due to Covid-19. Working from home and showering on gasbottles on a measly stream of water. The hair was a mess  Smile  Working onsite after hours so not much time or energy for skin care.

Went home to the city appartment today and noticed after a gooooooood long shower and hairwash...:

my elbows are almost completey clear after this good scrubdown =]  So pleased.  Keeping up with the AIP Paleo diet strictly except for a few glasses or wine. (cheers Fred!)

Note; I'm getting lots of sun on what I think are exposable bits of skin, the spring so far has been a fantastic improvement on a wet winter. Non exposed bits are also slowly improving, albeit buggerishly slowly.
