I think TNF bio's are falling out of favour.

Enjoy your zapping alien

Good idea being cautious Kat. No good killing yourself trying to get rid of psoriasis, annoying though it is

Glad they have zapped behind your ear you should see results there fairly quickly I would think Thumb

The dermatologist said she felt TNF's would be moving backwards, but that since I hadn't been on one it might be worth a shot. But of course then I had some concerns.

After my zapping today, I asked her about how long she thought I'd be doing the treatments. She answered the way I expected, everyone is different so there isn't a set time. She said usually around 10-12 visits you get an idea of how well it is working for you and she would "guess" I would take somewhere between 15-20 visits. Also she said she always tells people to continue on their medicine as rarely do they rely on laser therapy alone. Confused So, guess I'd better be a bit more diligent with the Taclonex as that's the only other thing I'm on at the moment. (Just recently found out that Taclonex is the oily version of Enstilar)

Something tells me it's probably a waste of my time. Much like the UV treatment I drive an hour there and back for about a 10-15 minute treatment. The only difference is that the treatment lasts about 10-15 minutes and the UV treatment only lasted a couple of minutes (the rest of the time was spent undressing and getting dressed again) Either way, it's a long drive for me so I do hope I at least get a little positive result.

Even if it helps, I doubt it will last.

Just my thoughts.

They tell you up front that it doesn't "last". Basically on average you can expect 3-6 months laser free before needing to start back again.

I have one spot that is quite irritated. It became even more scaly and itchy and although I try to leave it alone, sometimes I end up scratching without thinking. I hate when I feel the scales as it makes me want to pick at it. It's quite raw at the moment so I'm trying very hard to leave it alone. I'll mention it Tuesday and see what they say.

Kat do you know if there is a limit on the amount of times you can have the treatment ? I ask because I have seen a lot of our members say they have reached their quoter on other light therapies.

They haven't said anything about a limit. I go tomorrow for another zap session, so I'll ask that question.
