Psoriasis Club is Seven
It's that time of year again where I say a big thank you to all our members for making Psoriasis Club what it is.
We have had some really good new members this past year and it's great to see some of them joining in. Yes I still have to throw out the odd spammer or scammer but we are getting a better quality of members. So if you have joined in the past year and you're still here, Thank you. We need members like you and your input is welcome.
Another thank you goes out to our established members that still take the time to log-in and update their threads or say hello to our new members. I appreciate a lot of you don't have time or maybe don't want to be around psoriasis, but it hasn't gone unnoticed that some of you log-in as and when you can and make a couple of posts.
An extra thank you goes out to the ones that post in the Members Only boards. You are a great bunch of people and your support and enthusiasm rubs off on others which in turn creates a friendly environment for us all. I have witnessed fun and laughter, sadness and support, seen some of your hobbies and got to know parts of your life and we have even had debates. I especially like the way that all our members show respect to others, we may not always agree or get on but I'm pleased that no one has to witness any trolling or bullying and we manage to get on.
I'm also going to thank the Staff They help me out more than you will know in the background. They give up there time freely to help our members with any forum problems, they help our new members get settled in if they need some guidance. They are not moderators but they can and do report things to me that need looking at, they have taken a lot of the work load off me so I can concentrate on running the engine room.
Also I want to thank those of you that have contacted Myself or a Forum Helper when you have spotted a post or member not in keeping with Psoriasis Club's rules. We don't have many rules but your help keeping the spammers and scammers away is appreciated.
We now have over 100,000 posts and approaching 1000 active members. *Accounts with no log-in for 12 months and zero posts are deleted this makes sure we only have active members showing as numbers are not important to us, it's the quality of the posts and it's members that count.
I have still kept my original promise made 7 years ago of never allowing advertising or sponsorship deals on Psoriasis Club, and I will never ask for or accept any donations. I have been offered money for Psoriasis Club but it is not and never will be for sale, it will always be free for anyone to use and will never be driven by money.
Trolls, Recruiters, Spammers and Scammers will be thrown out the door without question and Psoriasis Club will always be a safe and friendly place for it's members. I know some of my policies like not allowing links to other websites isn't always popular with some members but it makes us the only totally independent psoriasis website. So if you want to be a member of a forum where you can post links then I respectfully suggest that Psoriasis Club is not the place for you.
As for the Future: Don't worry about that because Psoriasis Club is here to stay and we will never let our members down. I have a plan in place to keep Psoriasis Club going just the way it is now. In the event of any problems from my side, the Forum Helpers will be given full control between them and they have promised to carry on the tradition of Psoriasis Club.
So thank you all once again for your continued support of Psoriasis Club and it's members.
Kind Regards to you all.
Fred.
Oh I almost forgot as you are insignificant: A special little message from me in the spoiler for those out there reading this that said Psoriasis Club won't last, but especially to those that tried their hardest to make it fail in it's early days.
