Looking for support

All I want is real people to converse/interact with who have a similar condition. I hate feeling judged on my outside appearance for plaque psoriasis. I have this 'joke' I tell the people who try to understand me when most people treat me badly. I say God made my outsides match my insides- calloused. That is not true. But its something to say that they will try to understand. That's why I'm giving this site a try. If this doesn't work... then, yeah... I really am as alone as I feel.

Well I don't think you feel alone here. We have a good mix of people always willing to share and support. Every one of us has psoriasis of one form or another, and all of us effected in different way.

We are also the only fully independent psoriasis website you will find. We have no advertising, sponsorship or donations, whereas others are money driven in one way or another whether it be to keep their advertisers/sponsors happy or to raise money for their websites/offices etc.

Here we are just a bunch of people like yourself, so if you feel Psoriasis Club is not working for you please do let us know as we genuinely do want to help others.

Great you have found us. There is never a need to feel alone or misunderstood here, we are a small active group of fellow sufferers  who will always answer posts and we will always be friendly ..... thats the ethos of the site... we don't tolerate any unpleasantness ......

So join in and be comfortable here if you encounter any negativity just contact Fred or one of the forum helpers ....

Hi Snowowl and a very warm welcome to our select bunch.  
There are the odd one or two people who have joined in lieu of partners, but on the whole we all suffer from this confounded disease one way or another. Please dont be afraid to ask anything, there is no such thing as a dumb question on here, but you can guarantee you will get an honest answer but please remember we are not health professionals. If you haven't done so already I would strongly recommend you get referred to a Dermatologist and get the ball rolling on some treatment. You don't have to suffer in silence. The disease is manageable with various lotions and potions. Take a good wander through the forum there is a wealth of info here . . . .   .  and we may even see you in the bar

Aww no - you're not alone, there's quite a few of us with the same skin as you. I feel that if everyone with psoriasis had it on display, everyone would know what it was and wouldn't look twice because its pretty common. But sadly many people don't seem to have heard of it.
Welcome and I hope you feel at home here, the inmates are a bit crazy though..
