Hi.  I am wondering if psoriasis once treated leaves a scar?  I have it pretty bad on my penis.  Once treated should I expect for there to be scarring?

It's unlikely to leave scars usually the skin will revert to normal in my experience ...unless you have picked it and made it an open wound and then it usually clears up

I have places on my legs where the psoriasis was, little white spots that you can't see unless it gets tanned then those spots don't colour ....but I doubt sunburn will be a problem with your penis  Smile

It can leave some sign of where it once was. Usually a change in pigment of the skin. I have a few patches where you can see where it was, but there is no psoriasis. I wouldn't call it a scare as such, but more of different colour.

A sun tan will help, but on the penis that may be difficult.

You may also find this interesting: What is Koebner reaction ?

I get slight variations in pigment when I tan which is in line with where some psoriasis has been. Weirdly where it has been bad seems to tan normally.

I had to make a double take of "Kobners Reaction" with the references to penis! Sorry had to mention. Big Grin

I notice on my legs when I tan the lack of pigmentation which isn't noticeable in the winter when my legs are white "...but I'm not sure if you would call it scarring

Yes that's just where you had psoriasis I would say, it's not a scar but a change in pigment. I have them on my back where I always had persistent psoriasis after a bought of chicken pox.

Cute legs Jim Big Grin

I actually have some places on my hand that have lack of pigment just like those on your leg. I've never had psoriasis there and had those spots years before having psoriasis.

Glad you liked them Blush
Mine are certainly due to psoriasis and scarring ( war wounds I tell the grandkids although I've never been to war ) Whistle
