Anyone tried Otezla

My other halfs step dad has psoriasis and has recently started Otezla and got amazing clearance with no side effects.  I've never heard of it before! Is anyone else on it?

My thinking is it's not popular, but I've not used it so it would be unfair for me to comment.

I am on Acetretin, it is working quite well but side-effects are annoying. I have about 80% clearance. I am interested in Otezla - is this available in the UK? I thought NICE had prevented it from being prescribed here?

Good point I remember posting these:

Otezla gets another No from NICE

NICE says no to Otezla for psoriatic arthritis

So I'm confused as Amanda says she knows someone using it. Could it be because she is in Scotland?

Hi gokiddo to the club, just thought I would drop in and say hi....hope you enjoy the forum and get some good information here, we are all psoriasis sufferers and happy to share information and advice .....having said that I have not been on acetretin or yet otezla so can't help with your query, but fingers here is in England and was on otezla

Thank you for that Amanda. I'm not sure where Fingers is based, it would be intresting to know if he too is on Scotland.

I just remembered I had posted it last year: Another knock for Otezla from the UK

So yes it's in Scotland but was rejected for England and Wales for not meeting cost effectiveness. So I would imagine they are offering it free to try and convince England and Wales to change their mind.
