How long is a piece of string?

Once gone from the penis it may never come back, but it could come back at any time and with a vengeance. I'm not trying to frighten you but there is no way of anyone knowing the answer. I've had it bad on the penis before many years ago, but with my treatment and coconut oil it's no longer a problem. Should I stop my treatment it may come back there it may not, but I can be sure it will come back somewhere.

Psoriasis is your buddy for life. It can be managed but never cured.

Got it, thanks for the clarification.

Do you apply coconut oil daily and that helps?  I use to use coconut oil as a lotion and still use it to cook.  I could easily go back to bodily application if that helps psoriasis.

I use it after my shower. And if I have an extra dry patch I will use it twice a day.

I only use it on my skin, and not for cooking. It's worth noting that Refined is best for cooking and Virgin is best for the skin. You can eat both, but refined isn't much good as a moisturiser and it can contain additives that may not be good for your skin.

So it helps with the dryness but doesn't make the actual psoriasis go away right?

Yes it helps keeps the skin moisturised, I wouldn't say it actually makes it go away as such but it does keep the flakiness away. Getting rid of the flakiness and itching could in turn be enough to make it go away, but I'm not promising anything.

I have a more detailed thread about it here: Coconut Oil

Take my advice; I don't use it anyway.

As has already been said, you just don't know the when/where it will reappear. I think some people have continuous problems in certain areas (mine is my scalp and ears for instance)

I have had psoriasis in numerous places, some reappeared and other places so far have remained clear. It's very hit and miss. In my case I am not taking anything at the moment, other than using coconut oil to help keep my scalp moisterized. It hasn't made it go away but it has definately helped with living with it. I have been very lucky so far but I know it can come back in other places at any time without warning.

I understand why you want it gone from such a sensitive area, but it isn't any better in other areas. It can be a miserable disease.
