Thanks Fred and Jim. My understanding is that calcipotriol is used in conjunction with DMF treatment, and my own experience is that treatments that did not work on their own have worked in conjunction with DMF. Who knows, Bassman, the unused stuff might help after all.

Just a thought but Bassman said he has unfinished tubes. That may be the reason they are of not much use to him, as my understanding is that they do have a life once opened. So if they have been opened a while they not be of any use.

Dovobet Gel:
2 years shelf life.
Bottle: After first opening: 3 months.
Applicator: After first opening: 6 months.

Dovobet Ointment:
2 years shelf life.
After first opening: 1 year.

Dovonex Cream:
2 years shelf life.
After first opening: Nothing found.

Dovonex Ointment:
2 years shelf life.
After first opening: 6 months.

Silkis:
3 years shelf life.
After first opening: 8 weeks

God knows how old my old tubes are
I have dermovate 30g half used must be at least 5 years old and Dovonex the same age....... It's the bin for them now they were my crutch

Might still work though. It is not as if Bassman is covered in the stuff or immunocompromised, and it is a topical. If there were a problem the greatest probability is that it wont as well or at all. If it were me I would use it, and if I were worried I would use it on a spot and go from there.

Yes I don't think it will cause any problems, but it may not work very well. And as we know Dovobet can actually make psoriasis worse for some people.
