Sounds interesting Bassman I look forward to reading what success you have with Cysteine, as I'm on Fumaderm and have always got one or two small patches somewhere, if you have success with it and if mine comes back any worse I may well try it myself.... It may also be a way I could reduce my dose as I seem stuck on 4x120mg tablets ... As soon as I drop a tablet my plaques start coming back
I am following the conversation with great interest Thumb

Bassman,
Fred removes the links to other psoriasis sites or to specific products.
Not all links though are removed. E.g. You can place a link to a YouTube of a song or something. It will not work as a real link, but you know the process of copy and paste.

Normally you can send real links through the PM system.

Sorry to but in again, but just to clarify what Caroline said.

I will also remove youtube links in the public boards as a lot of scammers use youtube, but yes you can post them in the off topic section for music.

The easiest way is post No Links and I'm happy, but if you're not sure please just ask me as I will allow some to official recognised sites.

Bassman it's up to you, but you are welcome to start a new thread about your journey on Cysteine if you wish. It may be suited in an new thread and will make it easier to follow and keep on topic, but your choice.

Smile

Ok, thanks again re. links

No, i will stick to this thread with updates, as i think starting a new one, threads will get fractured.

AS we all seem to differ with our response to P medications, i am going to give the Cysteine a longer trial than Bill did, simply because i just maybe the type that responds slower than the next person.  I cannot expect to have the  same reaction time as Bill, though of course it may well be exactly the same, such is the randomness of P meds.  Thats if I respond at all

Updates will be forth coming people  Bigarm

Jim, if 4 x 120g Fuma per day is still leaving you with odd patches, why not ask your Derm to increase to max 6 x 120mg per day ?   It may just work for you. 6 per day hasnt entirely worked for me, but thats the randomness of P meds rearing their ugly heads,  although its done a fairly good job.  Just not quite good enough for my liking

No I'm happy on 2 the little patches I have 1 on my elbow and one on my scalp are about 1cm across and I'm trying to keep my lymphocyte count high at the moment 1.25  (normal between 1-3) so I'm well inside but on five or six my count went down to 0.69 and that makes me a bit uncomfortable with the increased risk of opportunistic infections striking.
So as I say I'm very happy as I am but if I see Cysteine working with you and Bill .. I'm thinking of trying it and maybe drop my dose again

We have one member on one 120mg a daydream fumaderm maintenance dose and has been on that for a few years if my memory serves me correctly RE: Fumaderm he comes here from time to time to tell of his continued success  Mateychuk see list of all his posts here in his profile

Thanks Jim

I dont get severe side effects from Fuma. In fact they're pretty mild.  I sneeze a lot, but dont get a cold, so thats a bit weird.  My sleep patterns are a bit mixed up, but again, its no big deal. Thats my lot.  I have had 1 or 2, maybe 3 hot flushes since i started Fuma, and only twice  had the stomach cramps.  Both the flushes and the cramps lasted  a few minutes only.  I rarely get either. I have not had a  flush or a cramp for some months now, and thats on 6 Fuma a day

Quite lucky i think

Yes that is lucky , but I have hardly any side effects now just the odd flush which is no problem
It was no different when I was on six a day

Are your blood levels good, and do you get your results from the dermatologist,? And how often are you having them done ?
