I'm new here, and a new psoriasis patient. I was diagnosed a few months ago. We've tried creams/lotions, but the plaque psoriasis keeps coming back, so now I've been prescribed Methotrexate. I hate taking medications, but I hate long sleeves more, so I'm going to give it a shot. I'm here to connect with others who are dealing with this condition and am looking forward to participating.

Hi Annieg and a big to the forum. You have certainly come to the right place to connect with people with psoriasis in common, we come here to discuss what's working,and offer each other support and encouragement .

Hello Annieg,

Welcome to the forum.
There are several members over here who use MTX. E.g. Pingu has just started his own thread Starting MTX, so it may be interesting to look at his experiences.

Also others use it or have used it so maybe will contact you.

Good luck with the Methotrexate, you are welcome to start a thread here Prescribed Treatments For Psoriasis about your journey if you wish. Some people find it helpful to update their threads as they go and use at as a refernce later on, plus your input could help others too.

You will find us a friendly bunch so just dive on in, you will find I'm the sensible one propping up the Bar Bav mentioned.

I have had psoriasis nearly 40 years, I was a kid when I got it and just starrted MTX, I see you have been directed to my thread so we are roughly in the same boat going into uncharted territory.
