What age did you get psoriasis?

When I was about 4yrs old when my mum took me to the doctors, at first they said it was infantile eczema, when it didn't go they said infantile psoriasis.  It wasn't until I was 14 though that psoriasis really took hold...I haven't looked back since, and never been clear.

It's a shame Fifty that you haven't had a period clear of psoriasis. Definitely time to get to a dermatologist, and get some treatment that will help give you clear times....
I was 17 when I first got it and it has been with me throughout my life ...with odd clear periods, usually summer when the sun shines....until I got my current treatment over 4 years ago, and have been flake free ever since ...

I am getting a list together so that when I finally get to the doctors I can have solutions to ask him about.

 

It would be fantastic to be totally clear, just for a couple of months...watch out if I do !

Hi Fifty it's a good thing that you are getting a list together but the first thing you need to ask your GP is to get you referred to a dermatologist as your doctor can only give you creams and potions, but if you have used them in the past and not had great success with them tell him you want to be referred they are sometimes reluctant to refer you if they can palm you off with creams

I'm on a drug called Fumaderm it's very good, it doesn't work fast but if it works it will give you a clear skin, there are other things they may want to try first
