Worst part of the body to get psoriasis

I thought it would be interesting to have a poll asking what people thought is the worst part of the body to have psoriasis. I don't think it's worth making the poll multi choice as we will probably tick all the boxes, so I have made it single answer.

Obviously anywhere to have psoriasis is a bad thing, but if you had to pick one what is the worst part of the body for you to have psoriasis ?

I think face because it’s the one part of you that can’t be hidden and your best guarded secret is out
I have had legs that are so painful I have cried, I have ripped my legs open walk-in into things making them pour with blood but I could always find somewhere quiet to pull the skin back together and butterfly plaster it myself before carrying on and nobody knowing
I hated the idea of people knowing as I thought not many would understand.

Yes I voted for the face too. I think it was the worst place I ever had it as I felt everyone was looking at me and it knocked my self esteem when I was younger.

Absolutely my feet.
As this blocks me from sporting, running, cycling, walking, etc. Sports and moving are very important for your life and your body and for Psoriasis.
True.. in your face it is not nice, but I think I care less as that is not where internal beauty is located, and it is explainable. People who are not able to look through the exterior into my internal person are probably not the ones that will be my friends for life.

I do admit that there is a time in your life where you think that your face is important, but that time will pass and when passed you will be stuck with the best friends you can have.

Very true but then everything passes with age. Also it may depend on when one got psoriasis and how bad it was on the area they mark as the worst.

For me, when I first got it my scalp and face were the worst, but later on it became the feet as like you say it was debilitating. Today however it doesn't really bother me that much about where the psoriasis is the worst.

I voted ‘undercarriage’ as I imagine that would be very horrible and uncomfortable. I didn’t vote face as I currently have it on my face and it hasn’t really caused that much of an embarrassment, being overweight is more embarrassing.
However if I had it on my face as a teen that would have been a big deal..

Exactly, so both Jim and Fred must be in their teens....

Undercarriage also makes a lot of sense indeed, that would be very inconvenient.

@ Turnedlight .....I never suffered with it on my " undercarriage" but agree that could really reduce quality of life ( and fun)....I just put from my own experience and how I felt, however I think if I had suffered genital psoriasis that would have been my answer

@ Caroline I agree I'm in my teens and worry about what people think and would still be self conscious if it came back on my face

I also must be in my teens as I voted for the face as well. Maybe that is just my perception as it’s one of the few places I haven’t had psoriasis.
