My issue with a lot of the stuff he gave me is it makes everything greasy and then spreads to everything i touch etc, to be honest it grosses me out.

Yes then definitely get him to refer you to a dermatologist, you have the right to ask for this. In some parts of the UK it's easy, but unfortunately in some parts it's not so easy. Should you get a refusal, let us know as we may be able to point you in the right directions.

Yes you must insist you see a dermatologist, until you have severe psorasis you do not realise how miserable it is. Once it gets that bad topical treatments are not good enough

I'll definitely be pushing for a referral from my doc once i actually get to see him, currently all the docs where i go are all fully booked until april 29th so i'm just waiting so i can make an appointment.

Ours used to be really quick, but they are really over subscribed at the moment with the closest appointment at the end of the month, Which is still no good to me. I just cant wait for this doctors letter so i can give this chick the middle digit and say now move me.

Thought I'd post an update..

Well i'm into my final full week of my month from hell, and seriously what a month this has been... So far this month I've had 2 job interviews.. well really 1 and a half because well yeah i walked out on the 2nd one soon as i realised that a 7am start is impossible considering i'd have to be on a bus at 5am and they dont start running until 5:30 that and its sales based. I've had my new PC power supply go bang to which has been a mild annoyance but its still under warranty and they now have the defective unit back and i'm just waiting for a replacement. Thank the gods or it would have been £100 down the toilet. Plus there's lots of other stuff to, that i'm just not going to go into here, but yeah its not been fun.

Still no doctors note either, been over 3 weeks since i've requested one and nothing not even a screw you, you aint getting one. So next week I'm going to ask them why.. I'm not one of those peeps who would do it for giggles, if i request a doctors note there's a damn good reason.

Got caught in the rain yesterday and got soaked through, spent last night freezing cold even though i sit with my back to a radiator and tried to heat the room as much as possible so i ended up just going to bed early.

The job centre last week asked me if i had been moved, they seemed pretty disgusted that I haven't I showed my advisor the emails that went backwards and forwards, and i said.. see I have magic gloves that protect me from everything. She just shook her head asked me what i wanted to do as soon as i have a week and one day left, I just said whats the point might as well just see it out. So bummed out.

Ever since I've been there I've been in constant pain, being not used to steel toecap boots (I have now put 3 different in soles in them to try and soften it up for my poor feet but still they hurt like feck), my feet have been really painful same as my knee's and lower back (but with my back a couple of days rest and its ok), i put that down initially to sitting on my backside for a while and not getting much exercise, my hands are all dry and cracked cant put anything on them as they want the magical gloves back when i'm done and all the stuff i have makes everything all greasy and icky.

I think what also urked me was I started seeing rats.. not cute little rats, but rats the size of cats.. this thing must have been a foot long... plus without going much into it, ppl are stupid and really should consider putting there waste with blood on it somewhere else, like not anywhere near me.

Woke up this morning though and omg my knee's and ankles hurt like hell.. I've always thought I'm pretty good with pain, usually I'm like meh whatever and just deal with it but at the moment I'm walking like a old man of 80, looks like today i'll be popping pain pills like they are going out of fashion. jebus..

Roll on next tuesday I'm so sick of this shit..

It is obscene that you are being screwed around like this. Your extreme discomfort stems from the fact that you have a serious but treatable illness for which no treatment is being offered, yet at the same time you seem to be treated as a malingerer for your symptoms. You should be demanding care and making much noise about it. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Dont be fobbed off.

Yep I'm with Bill, don't stand for it Bav, go and give your Doctors place hell and refuse to leave till you get a note. Hell it will only take to minutes to get it done, Don't leave the place till you have it in your hand.

Tell your advisor twat about the pain you are getting, and explain that the work you have been doing could be causing the onset of Psoriatic Arthritis.

As for your hands in the gloves, sod em they don't care about you so why should you care about their pair of gloves? But I can still recommend Coconut Oil for your hands, rub it in well and they wont be greasy.

Oh and the Rats make nice Pâté Yum Yum

No point with the docs note after next tuesday as its my last day on placement so i wont have to deal with that place again ever, unless i have something that needs to go to the tip.

lol, i'll be fair for once its not the job centre at fault, as far as i know my advisor has tried to get me moved etc, they cant pull me because they aren't allowed, once I'm there the job centre cant remove me, thats the terms of the placement, to which i'll be fair i agreed to before i found out where i was being sent. (Cheers Iain Duncan Smith I owe you one buddy you posh arrogant twat).

I will be nice and polite when i go to the docs and politely asked why i never got a doctors note as it is now to late to do anything and I'm now paying the price for someone's incompetence.
