Would posting in Off Topic be appropriate then?

Yes acceptable or better still a couple in the test forum then later when his post count is up they can be deleted

There you go Dave, sorted!

Just got a shirty email from the placement officer i've been farmed out to asking if i was going back tomorrow or not because they dont want to give me money if i refuse to go in. Ie they'll get my money stopped, hope she likes the reply.. would also be nice if she would of actually spell checked Psoriasis first.. ah well c'est la vie!

I'm sure you are more confident now about your position and the fact that you can't be treated like a slave yes

The two threads in test don't need to be much something like just testing then post reply
Then same again click new reply " just testing" then post
Log out and in again so they get counted and away you go Thumb

Hell yeah! they must be stored next to a box of unicorn poop, i'll see if i can get a pair for everyone who wants them!

On a serious note...

This woman who is a placement officer is refusing to move me to somewhere else because I have gloves... I've sent her a long email explaining that while gloves offer an element of protection to my hands they also cause skin irritation with prolonged use and ignored everything i've said to her. So back on the phone to the job centre tomorrow morning.

Sorry to but in again, but just remember if one does post in Test to up their post count I do sometimes have moments of madness when I remove posts from that board. So for example if you made 5 posts in test you could use the PM system, but then Fred comes along and Bang you can't use it again.  Rolleyes

They took your hardware out and switched it for less powerful hardware? What exactly did they do, did you get an invoice or something saying exactly what they did? I would be interested to see what they've put. Any reputable company would switch like for like, ie if you had an apple they'll take your bad apple away and give you a nice new one... not give you a kiwi fruit and hope you wouldn't notice.

I'm going to put a letter together for the docs in a few mins requesting an official letter for this company who at the moment refuses to switch my assignment, because having gloves will stop me catching anything nasty floating around. Talking like they are the ultimate protection, even though i went in to detail why gloves are not only the answer but would make my P worse. Basically she's either stupid, or thinks she's more intelligent than me and i'm the same as all of her usual "clients" her job is to safeguard and make sure that everyone who has been referred to her company has all of there needs met. Not tell me to bugger off and go back to the job centre, because the job centre has already been on to them and told them about my P. This woman is just refusing to let me switch.

Right so get her to sign a letter stating that she thinks that psoriasis (an autoimmune disorder) is not a problem for working in such conditions, and should you get an infection or a flare up she will accept full responsibility for putting you in such a vulnerable position.  Five

That is going to be step 2, step 1 will be to contact the Job centre who employ this woman and her company to put me in a placement for 4 weeks and tell her what was said in this email and it can be forwarded. I was going to reply but its like arguing with a brick wall. I've got gloves that's all I'm going to need and or I'm just trying to get out of it because I'm lazy. Will have to decide what to do tomorrow. Whether to stay away from there and potentially get this woman to try and get my money stopped, or try to find time throughout the day at the tip, problem is i wont have access to my email until i get home and my contact at the job centre has gone home.
